Earth

You float on heavens highway
One spore amongst millions
The odds are stacked against you
In the billions
Yet here you are
More beautiful than all
Young and scarred
At the mercy of physics laws
Nature has nurtured you
And you thrive and flourish
A life giver true
You rage and you nourish
In your presence
We take nothing for granted
But in your benevolence
There are those who've taken what they wanted
I do my best
To do right by you
But I'm one in a billion I confess
The odds are stacked against me too
