Things Are Not Always What They Seem
by PJ Perry
A truth can be dark,
A lie can be white,
The moon can be hidden
Or brighten the night.
Things that are ugly
Can have beauty asleep,
Where such things of beauty
Are only skin deep.
It’s said grass is greener
On the other side,
Then you wish you had back
What you had denied.
The Sun still keeps shining
When earth turns for night,
Or when the clouds cover
It still radiates bright.
Things may not always be
Quite what they seem,
Reality is strange
Like a living dream…
