You Beat Me but I Won!

By PJ Perry

You beat me, beat me hard

But I won, you dropped your guard

You thought that I could only crawl

But I mustered my strength, I mustered it all

I pulled myself from off the floor

Surprised I could make it to the front door

I heard you coming up behind

But you just couldn't make it to me on time

I flew from your jail and other bad things

I found myself a new pair of wings

But that was not the end of it though

I have arrived back from that time long ago

As I get to your place I hear a stifled scream

You have a new victim trapped in a bad dream

She is your prisoner, you call her a wife

But I've something for you and it's called a knife

It was the usual thing with you round here

When I wasn't quick enough to get you a beer

They'll ask if you had enemies, they'd be longer than your arm

You weren't liked that much, you hadn't any charm

You'll lie their bleeding, real slow as well

The last face you'll see on the way to burning hell

Will be mine in this despicable place

But it will be the first time you'll see a real smile on my face

You will soon be long, long gone

You beat me, but I won!
