Wish Upon A Star

I wished upon a star each night
For the One to come along
But up to now it'd not gone right
Where was I going wrong?
So I wished upon a falling star
To make my dreams come true
To pick the one that fell so far
Could make me fall for you
The night, it has a million sparkling eyes
So which to wish upon?
I was answered with the rise
Of the early morning sun.
It's been before me all this while
Before my very eyes
I looked around and caught your smile
It took me by surprise
I wished upon the morning star
Before it lost its glory
Miracles don't have to come from afar
And that's my starry eyed story
