I Am Not A Robot

You never turn around anymore as you walk away

I miss that look over your shoulder and a smile to say

Can't wait already to see you tonight

This one last glance will make all alright

But now the back of your head is all is see

You can't wait to get away from me

You march on as if you're late

You're late for a very important date

There was a time you'd fall for my charms

But now I imagine you in someone else's arms

Is it someone else now that you love?

Did I push you, did I shove?

When I try to kiss you pull away

Should I try harder to make you sway?

I don't want to use unwanted force

When all you're thinking is timing for divorce

I'm fighting to hold a connection

I show but also need returned affection

You have run out of emotion

I'll find other fish in the ocean

I don't want too

But you make it hard not to

Someone will fill the slot

For I am not a robot!
