Scream At A Screaming Kettle

By PJ Perry

I’m gonna scream at a screaming kettle

I’m gonna rage at a raging bull

I’m gonna temper the blacksmiths metal

Before I push what shouldn’t pull

This force that’s welling up in me

Soon better had subside

An explosion there is gonna be

As Jekyll niggles Hyde

There is pleasure mixed with pain

A love that’s blend with hate

It’s slowly driving me insane

It cracks my armour plate

I do my best just to relax

As my mind fades with erosion

And suddenly surprise attacks

Reason lost to corrosion

I laugh aloud though nothings funny

I’m not exactly thrilled

I’m now a day once warm and sunny

Turned to one that’s chilled

I’m gonna scream at a screaming kettle

I’m gonna rage at a raging bull

But I’m gonna temper the blacksmiths metal

Before I push what shouldn’t pull
