Shouta read over the message he had gotten again and again and again. At first he almost couldn't believe his eyes. But he soon realized that there was a weirdly dark undertone to that text... one that he really didn't like. And he realized that he hadn't seen Y/N in the morning. He had just assumed that she was gone to get something from her apartment or whatever, but he wasn't so sure anymore.

>>Get the laptop from my apartment and check the files on it. Get them to the police. Hope you're not going to miss me too much. I love you. - Y/N.<<

That was what he got. At first all he saw was the 'I love you' and he was feeling ecstatic about it. But then he read over it again. 'Hope you're not going to miss me too much.' What the fuck was that supposed to mean? Shouta was inclined to tell himself that it was just something harmless, but knowing Y/N... it would be bad. He couldn't shake the bad feeling he was getting.

And what was that about the files on her laptop and him getting them to the police? What were those files? Why did they need to go to the police? Did she have any evidence from back then that she had found? Shouta didn't really believe that. She'd have given that to the police immediately if she still had that. But if she had new evidence that meant... she had something on Takamoto.

And the fact that she had something on him and wasn't around in the morning and still hadn't returned... Shouta didn't like it. He didn't like it at all. For a second he wondered whether Takamoto had maybe sent that message from her phone just to mess with him or lure him into some trap, but... it sounded so much like Y/N, he couldn't really see someone else writing that text.

Then again, Takamoto was an amazing manipulator and a really good actor, so he wouldn't be too surprised if he had actually faked that text. Shouta wasn't sure what to do about this. His gut told him to get to Y/N's apartment as soon as he could, but his head was telling him to be careful. He really wasn't sure what to do next... maybe he should inform Tsukauchi about that text...

Let them know that he was going to her place and to send people just in case it was a trap? That sounded like the best course of action. So he went on his way to her place, phone in his hand to call the police and tell them what was going on. They didn't seem too concerned, but said they'd send someone over. They had never been very concerned with Y/N's safety throughout all this, anyway.

Shouta would have been annoyed if he hadn't been so worried already. It was taking him way too long to make his way over to Y/N's apartment, at least in his mind. He felt like he was going crazy, like he barely moved forward when he was walking along the main street. It seemed to take ages.
