Jada and Chelsea had come over to Blake and Brielle’s to watch the game. All three were hoping tonight would be better than last night. Unfortunately that wasn’t the case.

“Seriously?” Jada said wide eyed watching as Chris fouled out.

The guys were playing the final game of the three road games they were on and it wasn’t going well at all. After leading in the first quarter they hadn’t looked the same at all. Matt was carrying them as much as he could offensively and the defense was horrid.

“I’m glad I didn’t decide to go with him,” Chelsea sighed.

“Me too,” Brielle agreed. Blake had a horrible night. They were double teaming the hell out of him and he only managed to score ten points. “Thank God that’s over,” Brielle sighed watching as the guys hung their heads and walked down the tunnel.

“I almost don’t want to be there when CP gets home,” Jada sighed grabbing her phone.

“Blake isn’t gonna be any better,” Brielle laughed.

“You’re pregnant. He won’t yell at you,” Chelsea said giving her a knowing look.

One by one their phones started to ring as the guys were calling and checking in. Brielle grabbed her ringing phone and walked to another room in the house.

“Hey,” Brielle smiled.

“Hey baby,” Blake sighed.

“You okay?” Brielle asked sitting down.

“No. I will be. That was rough,” Blake said as the bus pulled away from the arena.

“I know babe I’m sorry,” Brielle sighed. He sounded so defeated.

“I hate being taken out like that and not being able to help the team. I’m just ready to get home to you,” Blake said looking out the window.

“It’s gonna happen Blake. Everyone knows you’re a threat if they leave you open,” Brielle said.

“I know. I don’t want to talk about it anymore. How are you feeling?” Blake asked changing the subject.

“Good actually. Really good. The gender reveal is all set up and ready to go for the day before you go to Denver,” Brielle smiled.

“Good. I may let you come to Denver with me,” Blake said as the bus pulled up to the airport.

“Yeah?” Brielle smiled into the phone.

“Yeah. Only because it’s a short flight and being away from you sucks. We’re in San Antonio and then Atlanta the twenty second and twenty third,” Blake sighed grabbing his bags.

“I know. I’m trying not to think about that. At least you’ll be here for Christmas,” Brielle said playing with the fringe on one of the decorative pillows on the couch.

“Yes baby we will. Our first Christmas,” Blake smiled standing up and filing off the bus behind his teammates.
