“Wait wait wait you did not just up and tell her to leave after telling her it was over,” DJ laughed.
The Clippers were on the plane headed to Oklahoma and Blake was telling a few of them about his rather abrupt break up with Kayla.
“Yup,” Blake nodded. “What else was I supposed to do?”
“I mean a little sympathy would’ve been nice maybe,” Matt Barnes shrugged.
“It’s not like we were that serious,” Blake answered looking up at him.
“I know, but she’s still a woman and she still has feelings,” Chris Paul said joining in on the conversation.
“Whatever. It’s done and over with,” Blake sighed leaning his head back against the seat.
“So how are you and Brielle doing?” DJ asked. Blake hadn’t said anything to any of them about he and Brielle, but they had all definitely seen the small gesture he had put out there at the game.
“Fine,” Blake smiled nonchalantly.
“Slept with her yet?” DJ smirked at his friend.
“Seriously? Is that all you care about?” Chris asked exasperated.
“The fact that you don’t is just a reminder you’re a married old man,” DJ smirked as Blake cracked up laughing.
“Clearly I did something right,” Chris spat turning around in his seat.
“Well?” DJ prodded.
“No. It’s not like that with her. Don’t get me wrong I’m struggling, but I’m trying to respect her wishes. I want this to work,” Blake sighed.
“Who are you and what have you done with my boy” DJ asked confused. “She’s hot you can’t honestly say that’s not on your mind,”
“Oh it is. I’m just getting a nice big lesson in self control,” Blake smirked.
“Better you than me,” DJ sighed.

“No no no that’s all wrong. That’s not what I drew up,” Scott Brooks called yelling at his players.
Brielle sighed looking at her phone for what felt like the millionth time since practice had started.
She was working practice today to get out of working pregame tomorrow. She was hoping that would buy her a little extra time with Blake. She was waiting for the Clippers to land in Oklahoma City and get checked in to their hotel. She was 99.9% sure they were all staying at the same hotel. The Thunder were all staying at the Hilton, they had all checked in earlier in the day being that tonight was a lockdown night.
