“That has to be fate. Blake Griffin is having a girl. Now he’s gonna know what it’s like being on the other side of things when she gets played,” Ibaka smirked at Brielle.

“I may be pregnant but I can still kick your ass,” Brielle warned.

“Ooooh,” Westbrook smirked at his teammate.

The room had started to separate and it inevitably had Thunder players on one side and Clipper players on the other. The family and Sam were in the middle while Blake was talking to his teammate and Brielle was catching up with her old team.

“I’m just sayin,” Ibaka shrugged.

“I defend you, you know. I’m starting to rethink that decision,” Brielle smirked at him.

“What do you think they’re talking about?” DJ smirked gesturing to where Brielle was sitting with the guys.

“Probably me,” Blake laughed.

“Yeah well they hate us cuz they ain’t us,” DJ said turning away from the Thunder side of the room.

“You do realize they beat us last year right?” Chris smirked at his teammate.

“Details,” Matt said joining the conversation. “We’ve beaten them this year and I bet they won’t even make the playoffs,”

“Too early for that man, we’re not guaranteed anything either,” Blake said putting an end to the Thunder bashing.

“What are you naming her?” Jada asked changing the topic of conversation.

“Braylee Gail,” Blake smiled. Saying her name just made it all the more real that he was going to have a little girl soon.

“I love it,”Amber smiled from her place next to DJ.

As conversations started winding down and people started leaving, before long it was just the family left. Sam had gone back to the hotel with the Thunder guys and one by one the Clippers players had started to leave too.

“I wish Mom could’ve been here,” Brielle sighed as her father wrapped her up in a hug.

“No you don’t,” Brent sighed.

“I do, but I know what you mean. She would’ve said something to ruin it,” Brielle said her voice muffled.

“I know Blake is going out of town this week. Why don’t you come over and see my new place and have dinner one night while he’s gone?” Brent asked pulling away.

“Okay. I’m glad you’re here Dad. Thanks for coming today,” Brielle smiled at him.

“I would’ve have missed it for anything,” Brent smiled. He said his goodbyes to everyone and Brielle walked him out.

She walked back into the room and sat down in the empty chair next to Blake.

“Carrying your daughter is exhausting,” Brielle sighed.

“Just think you have five more months,” Marieka smiled over at her.

“Uh huh, just wait until it’s your turn,” Brielle said giving her a pointed look.
