Brielle finished her dinner and pushed her plate away. She and the coaching staff were having a meeting in the restaurant in the hotel she was staying at. They had talked injuries and a game plan for how to handle the small manageable ones that came with a grueling season. She was making some notes on her iPad when a notification came up on it.
You shouldn’t think so hard you’ll age faster ;) Yet I know you’ll still be beautiful.
Damn her for linking her personal cell phone and her work iPad together. She looked up looking around for the author of the text but she didn’t see him anywhere.
I’m over here, to your right
Brielle sat her iPad down on the table and slowly looked to her right. There he was sharing a table with Chris and DJ. As she looked over at them all three of them smiled and waived at her. She smiled back before grabbing her iPad and typing out a quick message.
I’m in a meeting! You’re gonna get me fired!
She tried so hard to get back into what the coaches were talking about and actively fought the urge to look back in Blake’s direction. Just as she was about to give in and look he messaged her back.
I mean if they fire you for that there’s always room here in LA with us....
Brielle rolled her eyes. She should’ve expected something like that to come from him. She was sure he would love that too. Especially now if he and Kayla were really broken up.
“Brielle do you have anything else to add?” Jason, her boss on the training staff, asked as all eyes were now on her.
“No. I think that about covers it. I’ll get to Staples early tomorrow and get started on the big three and we’ll go from there,” Brielle ventured hoping and praying what she was saying actually fit in with what was being talked about.
“Sounds good. Everyone stay in touch. I don’t want any last minute surprises,” Coach Brooks said getting up from his chair.
One by one everyone started filing out. Brielle debated on whether or not she should hang out so she could talk to Blake or if she should just go back to her room. He knew where to find her after all.
Deciding that was probably the safer choice with so many Thunder personnel running around right now she drank the last drink of her wine and got up. She walked to the elevator and pressed the button as she turned to look around behind her. She couldn’t see him anymore and he hadn’t followed her.
Shrugging she got in the elevator and rode up to her floor.

“Ooooh you just got left bro,” DJ laughed watching Brielle walk away from the table she had been sitting at just on the other side of the glass wall.
“Nah too many OKC types running around it’s probably smart,” Blake said taking a drink of his water and looking over some notes.
