"How's that?" Brielle asked. She was stretching out Kevin Durant during shoot around. Game one against the Clippers was tonight and Brielle had yet to see Blake. They texted briefly the day before and she knew the team had made it to Oklahoma the previous morning. Knowing what she knew from working in the NBA they were locked down in their hotel rooms and possibly had their phones off.
"Much better thanks Brie. You ok?" Kevin asked sitting up on the court.
"Yeah. Just nerves I guess," Brielle sighed.
"You think you're nervous now. Wait until just before it starts," Kevin smiled.
"Yeah," Brielle smiled.
Kevin had no idea what she meant. She wasn't nervous about the game necessarily. Truth be told she wouldn't be that upset if the Clippers pulled it off but she wouldn't admit that to just anyone. She did enjoy her job. She was nervous about finally running into Blake after all this time and knowing what she now knew.
Then there was the fact he had a girlfriend. How did she deal with that?
"Brie," Coach Brooks called breaking her thoughts.
"Yeah?" She asked looking up from her spot on the floor. She had just now noticed Kevin had gotten up and was practicing his free throws.
"You've got pre-game tonight," He said not looking up from his notes.
"Okay," Brielle shakily nodded.
All that meant was for an hour at least she would get to look at him without being able to talk to him. One big giant tease. Hopefully that would be enough to help her figure out what she wanted to say.

"Ready?" Westbrook smiled running past Brielle and bumping her shoulder. "It's go tiiiiiiime,"
Brielle laughed shaking her head and following the guys out onto the court. It was time for warm ups.
The closer she got to the court the more basketballs she could her bouncing against the hardwood. She knew before she saw it that the other team had already taken their place on the other side of the court.
She walked over to sideline and smiled up at Wanda Pratt, Kevin Durant's mom. She knew all about Blake and Brielle. Brielle treated the woman like another mother.
"See your boy?" Wanda smiled looking over Brielle's head.
"No. I was hoping to avoid that?" Brielle smiled looking down.
"He's certainly seen you," Wanda smirked.
Brielle took a deep breath and turned around. Sure enough there he was maybe ten feet away from her looking in here direction. The two stood there holding each others gaze until someone yelling her name pulled her out of her trance.
"Brielle," Ibaka yelled at her.
"Huh?" Brielle asked tearing her eyes away from Blake and looking in the direction the voice had come from.
"You ok? I've been talking to you for a while," Ibaka laughed trying to figure out just what she was looking at.
"Yeah yeah I'm fine,"
Brielle turned back and Blake had left the court. She assumed he was going back to the locker room to shed his warm ups and prepare for the start of the game.
She took her seat on the sidelines as more and more fans started rolling in.
"He looks like he wanted to talk to you," Wanda sitting down next to her in one of the black folding chairs.
