Game 4 was just getting ready to start. Brielle had talked to Gail earlier that day about everything that was going on. Gail was worried Brielle was going to leave Blake over this. Brielle assured her she wasn’t going anywhere.
Blake had called Brielle just before she had made it to the arena letting her know all had went well and he screened in the low risk category. Brielle could’ve told them that. Blake was one of the most gentle human beings out there. They decided instead of Blake coming back to Oklahoma he would just meet her in San Antonio the next day.
Nothing else had happened with the case that day. His screening would be reviewed by the judge and that should be that. Kayla would be prosecuted for harassment and defamation along with filing a false report, but Blake didn’t need to be there for all of that.
Brielle made her way to her seat just as the lights went down and the starters were getting ready to be announced. She just wanted to get this over with and get on to San Antonio.
By the time the game had ended the Thunder had lost. Everyone was in a horrible mood, and that included Brielle. She really missed Blake. Being away from him for the last day sucked. Not to mention since she and both Blake had done interviews about each other she was getting hounded by the media about what was going on with Blake legally.
She would just no comment everyone and some were respectful enough to accept that but there were others that prodded her further for information. She had just fended off one of those types while she was leaving the arena.
She made it to her car and hurried home to grab the bags she had packed before the game. She just wanted to get to San Antonio and go to sleep. She glanced at her phone as she got back into her car and frowned not seeing anything new from Blake. He had told her he would call her after the game but she hadn’t heard from him and was worried she wasn’t going to before catching her red eye flight to San Antonio. She was flying commercial and after the game tonight she was glad she wasn’t flying with the team.
They had to win the next game in San Antonio or the season was over. Thinking about that gave Brielle anxiety and got her a little emotional.
Brielle pulled back out of the driveway and headed to the airport. Hopefully she would hear from Blake before she took off. Getting out of her car at the airport she was once again surrounded by media.
“Jesus, I’m not a damn Kardashian, I’m just dating Blake,” Brielle said under her breath before pushing her door open and stepping out.
“Brielle, is it true Blake left because he’s getting ready to serve jail time for abusing his ex?” One reporter shouted at her.
No.
Brielle didn’t even dignify that question with a response. She kept her head down and grabbed her bag out of her car before locking it and turning to head into the airport.
“Brielle is it true you’re pregnant and that’s the only reason you’re staying with Blake through this?” Another reporter shouted at her.Brielle had to fight the urge to laugh at that one. Shaking her head she continued to remain silent and walked into the airport where thankfully the reporters left her alone and stayed outside.
