The weekend before the regular season was set to start was when Blake and Brielle had decided to get everyone together to announce they had a little one on the way. Brielle had her first doctor’s appointment and everything looked good. She had her first ultrasound and even though the baby looked like a bean and you couldn’t see anything she and Blake were already so in love with him or her.
Brielle had reached out to her parents to invite them to LA for the news, but her dad was in France on business and her mom didn’t want to make the trip alone. Brielle wasn’t surprised at all and even though knowing no one from her family was going to be there upset her for a bit she quickly moved past it. This was a good day for her little family and she wasn’t going to let anyone ruin it.
Brielle had made a chalkboard board with ‘Coming Soon’ in pink and blue with her due date of May 10th 2015 below it. She had set it up in the dining room so no one would know until they sat down for dinner.
“Looks good baby,” Blake whispered coming up behind her and wrapping his arms around her with his big hands resting on the tiny bump that was starting to show.
“Thanks babe. I still can’t believe Jada and Marieka actually believed me when I told them I wasn’t pregnant. This hasn’t exactly been the easiest few months,” Brielle sighed.
“I know. It hasn’t been so great watching you go through it. I’m sorry,” Blake smiled sympathetically as Brielle turned to face him wrapping her arms around his neck.
“It’s not entirely your fault,” Brielle smiled lightly pecking his lips.
“I know but I wish I could do something,”
“You do enough Blake. Just make sure there’s an endless supply of cherry popsicles in the freezer,” Brielle winked at him.
Her craving of choice so far had been cherry popsicles. She would wake up in the middle of the night just dying for one and on more than one occasion Blake had gotten up and made the trip to the grocery store for them.
“Already done love. We’ll have to figure out what to do about that on road games,” Blake sighed dropping his arms so Brielle could finish what she needed to do to get everything ready.
“I’m sure I can get popsicles everywhere,” Brielle laughed.
“I know, but I’m not always going to be there to do it for you,” Blake said following her back into the kitchen.
“I won’t hold it against you,” Brielle said grabbing the apple pie out of the oven and sitting it on the potholder on the counter.
“I hope not. I’m still not too thrilled about the idea of you traveling with me everywhere,” Blake said leaning against the counter.
“Well, it’s why I’m here and not working right?” Brielle looked up at him.
“Yeah, but that was before you got pregnant. It can’t be that great for you and the baby to be going constantly,”
