"I'm gay," said Remus shortly. He fidgeted with his hands.

There was a ringing silence, nobody said anything for a minute. Riley softly smiled at Remus.

"I'm glad you told us," said Lily soothingly with a smile. "I'm so happy for you!" she said and sat on the hospital bed next to Remus.

"Yeah, mate," said James. "You can talk to us whenever you like."

Everyone seemed to take it well, Riley could see Remus felt more relieved, he kept smiling at everyone. Madam Pomfrey had let him leave the ward eventually. Everyone started to leave, Riley waited for Remus.

"How long have you known?" asked Riley kindly as they walked down to the Great Hall.

"About four or five years," said Remus softly. "It was sorta obvious to me when I dated Penny... It just didn't feel right."

"Oh, so that's why you broke up with her!" said Riley with a laugh. "That makes sense, I never knew why you broke up. So, who else knows?"

"You four," said Remus. "I'm pretty sure I'll tell the others soon."

"What about your parents?" asked Riley.

"I think my mum knows, but I haven't really told her anything," said Remus. "But my dad — oh god, I don't know how that will go..."

"Oh..." she said.

Riley didn't know what to say. She had known Remus for a long time, she hated seeing him sad or stressed. After a couple of seconds, she flung her arms around him, bringing him into a tight hug.

The wild winds blow

Upon your frozen cheeks

The way you flip your hip

It always makes me weak

Your motivation

Is so sweet

Your vibrations

Are burning up my feet

Girl I'm just a jeepster

For your love

Girl I'm just a vampire

For your love

Lily turned the music off in the girl's dormitory, looking at each person with her eyes squinted.

"Lily! Come on!" yelled Mary.

"We better study!" said Lily. "We have exams this year, NEWTs! Remember?"

"Yeah, we do remember," said Dorcas. "Unfortunately..."

"It will be fine, just relax," said Marlene. She walked over to the record player and turned it on once again. Music started to fill the dormitory.

"It's still four o'clock," said Riley. "Why are we here?"

"Yeah," said Mary. "Let's go downstairs."
