Sirius came from the Slytherin common room after his mum ordered him to have a "nice, little tea with Narcissa. He absolutely hated her now, even more, since it was now confirmed that she was dating Lucius Malfoy from the same year as her.

"Sirius! How was it?" James asked as he entered the common room with a frown.

"Oh, Sirius! You're such a disgrace to the noble family of Black! Why can't you be more like Regulus, look at his cowardly face! Oh, Sirius! Why don't you want to become a death eater?! Do you want to end up like my sister Andromeda..." Sirius said, mocking Narcissa. "She's like my own mother but less violent!" Sirius said loudly. "It's like they're trying to lure me into their funny little scheme!"

"What happened to Andromeda?" Remus asked.

"Got disowned for marrying a muggle-born... She now has a daughter, Nymphadora, a metamorphagus, she's cute, I only saw her once and in some pictures she writes to me sometimes."

"What do they want from you exactly?" Riley asked.

"To join them with their beloved 'Dark Lord'...."

"Well, you don't have to obey them," James said.

"You think it's that easy? I wish."

"There have been a lot of attacks lately..." Peter said. "My mum was talking about it."

"Where?" Riley asked quickly.

"I heard there was this family, the Shirley family, they weren't even wizards!" Peter said.

The five friends walked to Potions class and took their places in front of the cauldrons. Lucky for Riley, it was individual work. However, Slughorn mixed the Gryffindors and Slytherins in the same tables.

Riley took the ingredients for the shrinking potion from the ingredients cupboard. As she was walking back, she saw Snape, at the same table as the rest of the marauders, along with Mulciber. Lily was talking to Snape and James was shooting disgusted looks at him.

She started making her potion without saying a word, she could not care less if Snivellus was sitting next to them. She just shut her mouth and started making the potion. She also noticed how Snape was using a different method in making the potion.

"Riley, can you help me?" Peter said from across the table. Riley went next to him to help him but the same annoying voice was heard again.

"Look how Pettigrew can't even brew a potion," snarled Snape under his breath, but everyone seemed to hear him.

"Severus, it's not nice to tease people," Lily said in reply. Snape looked at her with annoyance and then continued to brew his potion

"You need to add well-shaken wormwood—" Riley started to talk to Peter but was interrupted again.

"Are you going to punch someone again, mudblood?" Mulciber spat at Riley.

"Can't you just shut up?!" Riley said trying not to get heard by Slughorn.

"Wait, did you punch—" Sirius started but Riley cut him off.

"Long story," she said briskly. "And I will, without any hesitation, if you try to start rumors about people—" she said looking at Snape.

"Stop it, both of you!" Lily said harshly. Riley had never heard her speak this loud. "You," she said pointing at Snape and Mulciber, "stop calling her a — you know what, and you!" Lily said this time pointing at Riley, "Why did you slap Sev?!"

"Believe me Evans you would wanna slap him in the face if you were there too..."

"You can't just slap people whenever you're annoyed at them, I can't just hit Potter whenever he asks me on a date now can I?!" Lily said this time lowering her voice a bit to not catch attention from the class and the Professor. James tried to laugh it off, but then looked back down at his cauldron.

"I wasn't just annoyed !" Riley said. "Are you seriously blaming me in this situation!?"

"What did he do to you then?" Lily asked, Riley stopped and bit her lip to now answer her question. Neither James, Sirius, Remus, nor Peter knew about what Snape had accused her of, she didn't want to tell them, but Lily was just being exasperating. "What did he tell you so frustrating that you wanted to humiliate him?" Lily asked calmly this time. Snape was as quiet as a mouse and Mulciber was just laughing. Riley's friends were just watching now.

"Humiliate him?! I did not humiliate him! And even if I did it's none of your business! If you so desperately wanna learn what he said ask the cowardly arsehole himself!" she paused and looked at her potion which was now turning acid green as it was supposed to.

"I didn't tell her anything to make her frustrated," Snape said quietly.

"And you're seriously gonna believe him?!" Riley said as she gave an annoyed laugh.

"I won't if you tell me what he told," Lily said calmly. "If you would just tell everyone—"

"He thinks I'm a werewolf apparently!" Riley said angrily. Lily didn't reply and Snape continued to look down at his potion. Mulciber wasn't there and she could see Remus' face getting sadder. He tried to cover the scar on his hand from the last full moon with the sleeve of his school sweater. Sirius was looking at him, James's eyes were now big and he kept staring at Snape.

"Well, we know that's a lie, there isn't a werewolf in school now is there?" Lily said with a smile. Remus looked down and pretended to look down at his book while he tried not to let the tears fall down.

"There isn't but—" Riley said calming down as she realized the mistake she had just did.

"So why did you slap him for that? You know it wasn't true," Lily said. Riley looked up again, raising an eyebrow.

"You're — you're still blaming me?" Riley said.

"No, I'm not blaming you, I'm just asking why you—"

"No, you are. Look, even if I were to be a werewolf, it doesn't give him the excuse to call them monsters! He also calls me a mudblood which I think isn't very kind of your dear friend Severus. And a piece of advice for you, stop defending him when he's obviously guilty!" Riley spat. She gathered her books and fled the classroom.

A/N:

Tysm for reading this! Also a heads up, I most definitely do not ship Snily, I think it's gross. I really hate Snape so much. I can guarantee you that Riley and Snape will NOT end up together.
