|32| Hogsmeade, Fourth Year

13th of November, 1974

The five friends went to Three Broomsticks for the weekend. It was a Saturday and the weather was freezing. It was raining and the grey clouds covered the sun. Hogsmeade was more crowded than usual and the marauders quickly got inside Three Broomsticks.

"Oh, I haven't seen you troublemakers for a while!" Madam Rosmerta said as she chuckled. "You want butterbeer?"

The five butterbeers were placed on the wooden table.

"Thank you," they all said in unison.

As Madam Rosmerta left, they all started chatting, mostly Remus.

"Why did we even come here?" he asked. "It's raining and you know it was—"

"Your time of the month three days ago and you're tired, yes," James completed his sentence. Riley tried to hold back her laugh but they all looked at her instead.

"What are you laughing at?" Peter asked.

"Uh — nothing—" Riley said quickly.

"Oh Moony, you have to listen to your elders! All of you have to, and it seems like I'm the oldest person at this table. And as your elder, it was my wish to come here!" Sirius said.

"Oi! I'm turning fifteen in three days, too! You're only thirteen days older than me!" Riley said.

"It doesn't matter if you're born before or not!" Peter said in disagreement.

"Of course you'd think that way since you were born in June, you're still a baby Pete!" James said.

"Since when do you get to call me a baby?! Your birthday is at the end of March!"

"You guys are giving me a headache, no jokes," Remus said.

"Sorry grandpa," Riley mumbled.

"The reason I wanted to come here is that we have to plan a new prank," Sirius said. "It's been ages since we did a prank!"

"True," James said.

"We can use the map now, it'll be easier," Remus said.

"Who should we prank?" Peter said.

"I have an idea—" Riley started.

"Someone who isn't Snape," Remus stopped her.

"I no longer have an idea—"

The windows of the Three Broomsticks busted with a loud explosion. A shrill scream was heard from outside as everyone covered their ears. Curses were fired, people were injured. The already grey clouds were now almost invisible from the green skull and the snake going around it.

"He needs help!"

"Avada Kedavra!"

"NO!"

Riley looked up from the table which was now on top of her. She looked at where everyone else was but the place was now full of dust. She looked at the people who were gathered around something. Riley couldn't see anything clearly but it seemed like it was a person lying on the ground, dead.

She then heard someone nearby cough. She turned to her right and saw Remus trying to look at what was happening.

"Are you all right?!" he asked in worry, Riley nodded.

"Where are the others?" she asked.

"I don't know..."

"I'm here!" a voice shouted from a distance, "I'm here—" Sirius said.
