"We are following, right?" Darcy asked me and I shrugged.
"He's our best bet at finding where Wanda is."
"Do you think you can get her to come home?"
I sighed and hesitated. It really didn't seem like Wanda wanted to come home. But could I leave otherwise? How would I go about normal life? "I can't leave without her. Oh, maybe she'll brainwash me. That'd be fine with me at this point." Darcy drove in the direction Vision ran and we didn't speak again.
Darcy and I stepped out of the van and I saw Wanda standing above a brunette I recognized from the show. Only, dressed differently. And so was Wanda. She looked like her Halloween costume came to life. She looked powerful.
The woman spoke to her. "So, what now? You just gonna lock me up somewhere?"
"No." Wanda tilted her head. "Not somewhere. Here."
Agnes took a deep breath. "Here?"
"Mmm-hmm. I'll give you the role you chose. The nosy neighbor." Wanda slowly approached her.
"No. Please..." Agnes begged.
"I'm sorry."
"No, you're not. You're cruel. You... You have... You have no idea what you've unleashed. You're gonna need me."
"If I do, I know where to find you." Wanda gave a small smirk.
"Wait. Wait, wait, wait. Wait..." Agnes begged as Wanda reached her hand out and touched her head. She transformed into the woman from the show in a glow of red. Agnes smiled as she talked again. "Hiya, hon. Say, that's some kinda getup you're wearing. Did I leave the oven on, or is that just you, hot stuff?" She chuckled.
"You live here now. No one will ever bother you."
"Okey dokey, artichokee."
Wanda smiled. "I'll be seeing you, Agnes."
"Not if I see you first, hon." She winked.
Wanda turned around and saw me. "Talia. Why are you here?"
"I'm here for you, I told you. I'm here to bring you home."
"I have no home."
Wanda walked away from me as her two children and Vision ran to her. I saw Monica making her way towards me. As Wanda and Vision spoke to the kids, I wished this could be real for her. I would've given anything to make this real for her. Monica stood next to me and Wanda looked to us and nodded. I gave her a smile and she returned it before walking away with her family. As they left, I saw the red field around the Hex slowly fade and get smaller.
Flashback
Sitting around the table, I sat sipping on my drink with my legs draped over Steve's. The subject of Thor's hammer came up and Natasha and I locked eyes and rolled them.
Clint groaned. "But it's a trick!"
"Oh, no. It's much more than that." Thor smiled at the thought and I let out a small laugh.
"Uh, 'Whosoever be he worthy shall haveth the power!'" Clint mocked and rolled his eyes. "Whatever man! It's a trick."
"Well please, be my guest." Thor gestured to the hammer sitting on the table. Clint's eyes widened in shock, which just about matched everyone else's as well.
Tony stood up first. "Come on."
"Really?" Clint stood up and took a step forward. Thor nodded and Clint continued to get closer.
