I stopped by the kitchen on my way to the training room so I could put my cup in the sink, I saw Eva. "I'm coming, I promise!" She walked up to me.

"You're good, I'm headed there now." She walked next to me as we made our way towards the elevator. "FRIDAY, training room please and thank you." I turned to Eva as the elevator started. "You excited?"

"You've left the training very vague so no, I'm not."

"Missions are usually pretty vague." I shrugged.

Eva nodded. "Guess I gotta get used to it."

The doors opened to the training room and everyone else was there waiting. Sam and Angel were talking to Steve as Bucky and Rhodey were stretching. Bruce stood talking to Kai. Angel turned to us first and waved. "Hello team!" I looked around at everyone.

Bucky stood up and started to walk towards me but Kai beat him there. "Hey, sugar." Kai smiled at me.

"Hey yourself." I smiled back. "All right, newbies. Line up." I looked straight forward as I continued. "Steve, did you wanna lead this one?"

"Nope." He responded, likely noticing my lack of eye contact towards him. What was left of the avengers stepped behind me, facing the three in front of me. "Continue."

I stepped forward and cleared my throat. "We will be playing Capture The Flag. Now, we might do things a little differently here. First, there will be three teams. Each of you," I pointed at Kai, Eva, and Angel. "Will be team captain. You'll take turns picking who you want out of us six. You cannot pick between you three. We know you trust each other. You have to trust us. There will be 3 flags placed around the property, first team to capture all of them wins. Time will run out in twenty minutes. FRIDAY will let us know. If time runs out, the team with the most flags wins." I paused. "Any questions?"

Angel spoke up. "Powers?"

I nodded. "All powers are fair game. Use your strengths, the opponent's weaknesses. Just don't hurt anyone." She nodded with a huge smile on her face. "These are your comms. Tap twice to turn them on, tap twice again to turn them off. If you do not want your entire team to hear it, make sure to turn the comms off. Super important to avoid major embarrassment." I handed the three of them their own box. "There's three comms each there. Give them to your team members. If there's no further questions, you can decide the picking order."

The three of them huddled together as I stepped back in line with my group. Sam was next to me and whispered, "as if you don't know who's gonna pick you." I looked over and Kai was looking at me.

"Back at you." I joked back and his face lit up.

Eva spoke first. "I'll take the blonde super solider." She smiled at Steve. He smiled back and stood next to her. Eva opened the comm box for him and he grabbed one out.

Angel smiled. "You know you're my first pick. C'mere Sam." I slapped his shoulder as he made his way to her, huge smile on his face.

Kai looked at me as he spoke. "Come here, sugar." He smiled. I rolled my eyes at him and he handed me the comm box.

"You trying to start trouble?"

"Only if it involves you." He flirted back and I rolled my eyes again waiting until Eva spoke.

"Super soldier number 2, let's go!" She smiled at Bucky. I could tell he didn't expect to be picked anytime soon either. I felt a small surge of disappointment that he was on an opposing team but quickly shook the thought away. It's just a game.

Angel smiled. "I'll take Rhodey."

"We got this, then." Rhodey walked forward and he and Sam high fived.

Kai turned to Bruce who was the last one left. "That gives us Bruce." Bruce nodded and walked forward quietly. Being the last one picked was going to be a difficult feeling for him. But Kai smiled as he walked up. "Welcome to team weirdo."

Bruce smiled back. "Wouldn't wanna be anywhere else."

I scoffed. "Speak for yourselves, I'm totally normal." They both laughed. I grabbed my comm and put it in my ear and handed Bruce his. The three of us walked away from the group before I spoke again. "Okay, Captain. What's the game plan?"

Kai nodded and looked around. "Our best bet is to avoid Angel entirely. She can read our minds and manipulate us. Distance is our best friend with her." He started to bite his lip as he thought. "Eva... it doesn't really matter where you are, she can get to you. But she doesn't have much combat fighting. She relies entirely on her speed and strength. But the rest of them, I need your help."

Bruce nodded. "Rhodey is terrified of the Hulk so... I got him. We're gonna be at a slight disadvantage for the roof flag since none of us fly..."

"I can fly." Kai interrupted. Both Bruce and I turned to look at him confused. "Using either air or fire... I can fly. I'm not great at it but. It'll do."

"That's amazing, that'll help." I smiled at him before adding, "Angel's team can all fly, but Rhodey stays towards the ground now, and Angel is gonna wanna stay down so she's close enough to hear everyone. So likely it'll be you against Sam, Kai." Kai nodded. "That leaves me against Angel. How's her fighting?"

"You're gonna have to mask your thoughts. Otherwise she'll see you coming." He answered.

"Okay. Yeah, Wanda told me about that. All right team." That would give me a benefit. I've fought with Wanda before. I looked around at the other teams, Steve and Eva were arguing while Bucky stood with his arms crossed, looking around. He saw me and smiled, I returned it. I looked over at Angel as she watched Sam and Rhodey point at the map. "I think we got this, team." I smiled at Bruce and Kai. Then I said louder. "Game starts in five minutes. We will all meet at the front doors and then it'll be on. No powers until then, no cheating. If anyone gets injured at all, we stop. You guys ready?"

Almost everyone agreed, saying they were ready. I gestured for Kai to lead the way out of the training room, Bruce and I followed behind. I felt pretty confident about our team. To me, Eva picked brute strength, and Angel had picked all strategy. I was curious to see how this would unfold but I had nothing but trust in my team.
