As the song ended, Bruce hugged me tightly. "Thanks for this, Talia."

I smiled. "Any time, Bruce. You're not a bad dancer."

Bruce laughed. "Interesting, you didn't say I was a good one either." We laughed together as we made our way back to the bar and the next song played. I didn't know what it was but I liked the beat so I swayed to it as I went to grab a drink. While I poured it, Kai walked up behind me and put his arms around me.

"One for me too?"

"Sure." I poured him a glass and turned to face him, he rested his arms on the counter on either side of me.

"So, I heard you had a bit of an eventful day." Kai grabbed his glass off the counter and took a sip, making eye contact with me.

I nodded. "Yeah. Tomorrow will be... an interesting one to say the least. But I don't wanna talk about it right now. I want to enjoy the night tonight. I have all my family here. We should all enjoy tonight."

"Sounds good to me, sugar." Kai winked. "I'm gonna go to the bathroom, but save a dance for me tonight." He leaned in and kissed me gently before walking away. I watched him leave and didn't notice the person approaching me.

"So. New kid is cute. Is he one I'm supposed to help?" Wanda asked.

"Yes. That's him. His name is Kai." I sipped my drink.

"And... you and Bucky?"

I felt myself start to blush a bit. "Yeah, it's... complicated. Or rather. I think it's really complicated and they just think I'm over complicating it." I shrugged while I began to ramble.

"Are you happy?"

"I am, honestly. But really, I'm just happy that you're home. I've missed you so much, Wanda." I turned to fully face her. "I hope you know that. I know being back here must be hard but... you're my family. I never want to lose you. I don't think I could handle it."

Wanda reached out and grabbed my hand. "I love you too, Talia. You're my family, too. Even if I forgot that for a moment there." The song changed, it was familiar, and Wanda smiled. "I think someone wants to ask you something."

I know I stand in line, until you think you have the time to spend an evening with me
And if we go someplace to dance, I know that there's a chance you won't be leaving with me

"Oh! I love this song!" I shouted.

And afterwards we drop into a quiet little place
And have a drink or two

"Is that so? Then how 'bout we dance to it?" Bucky smiled.

And then I go and spoil it all
By saying something stupid like "I love you"

He held his hand out and I took it. He instantly pulled me close and started swaying to the music, his hands sliding down to my lower back as I wrapped my arms around his neck. My head leaning against his chest.

I can see it in your eyes, that you despise the same old lies you heard the night before
And though it's just a line to you for me it's true, it never seemed so right before

"How do you even know this song?" I asked, still against his chest.

I practice every day to find some clever lines to say to make the meaning come through

Bucky chuckled. "I should be asking you that. This song is way more my time than yours, doll." That's true. Frank Sinatra was in the 30s? 40s? I wasn't sure. I just remembered hearing about him dying and diving into to all his music, falling in love with his voice.

But then I think I'll wait until the evening gets late and I'm alone with you
The time is right your perfume fills my head, the stars get red and oh, the night's so blue
And then I go and spoil it all by saying something stupid like "I love you"

"You tryna tell me something, Barnes?" I smiled as I pulled away to look at his face.

The time is right your perfume fills my head the stars get red and oh, the night's so blue

His eyes stared into mine and as always I felt like I was exactly where I was supposed to be at that exact moment. Bucky's eyes always told me everything. After everything he has been through, his eyes were always filled with so much love for everyone. And right now, love for me. "Nothing you don't already know, doll."

And then I go and spoil it all by saying something stupid like "I love you"

"Do you really mean it, Bucky? Honestly?"

I love you

"Of course I do, doll. I told you, I've always loved you." Bucky said it so matter of factly. To him, there was no doubt. Like it was the one thing he was sure of.

I love you

I took a deep breath. It was time to be honest with him. To be honest with myself. The reason I stayed in Wakanda. The reason I was Team Cap. The reason I kept myself together after my engagement ended. My reason. My home. "I think... I think I've always loved you too."

I love you

The song is Something Stupid by Frank Sinatra
