"Oh! You're back already! How did it go?" Peter jumped up off the couch as soon as he saw us walk in. Clint was still sitting but smiled at us.

Sam laughed and put his hand on my shoulder. "Why don't you come meet your new boss, Pete?"

Peter looked at us confused, eyes flickering from Sam to me, back to Sam and then it clicked. "Really?!"

"Hey, congrats, kid." Clint stood up and walked towards me for a hug.

"Don't get too excited. I'm more of a... consultant. A mediator. Mostly I just get all the blame when you all do dumb shit so try to not do dumb shit." I grinned at them.

Clint put his hands up defensively. "Don't look at me, I'm retired!"

"Well, I don't know about you all but that was way more than enough fun for me." Angel sighed. "I'm going to get some sleep." She reached out for Maria arm and pulled her with her. Maria smiled and followed her sister.

Eva nodded and followed. "Same."

T'Challa and Shuri walked off after them, bickering about what time is acceptable to wake in the morning to head back home.

"I'm going to go check on Peggy." Steve looked to Bucky and I. "And then... we should talk?"

"Honestly? We should all four talk, I think." I offered. No matter how this went, I needed to know what Peggy wanted to do, stay or go. And we might as well just rip the bandaid off.

Steve nodded. "I'll get her. Meet where?"

"The theater room?" Bucky suggested. And Steve and I nodded before Steve walked off.

"So uh, should we just start going there now?" I asked awkwardly staring at my feet. Why was I being so weird? This was Bucky. My Bucky.

Bucky shrugged. "Don't see why not."

He and I made our way there. It was silent and awkward, I wish I knew what he was thinking. I wish we could just skip this whole awkward conversation. How are we supposed to do this?

Oh hey, Steve. I know you only left me for Peggy because you were literally out of your mind, but I've realized I've actually been in love with your best friend this whole time so even after Peggy goes home, I'm choosing Bucky.

Yeah, this will go over so well.

A part of me worried that Bucky wouldn't want me. That he'd choose to not hurt Steve, and I'd be alone. Alone and stuck to this team professionally, to see my exes every single day. To be their higher up. Truthfully, that sounded awful.

But would Steve even really want to be with me now, after all that's happened? And would that change Bucky's mind? I sighed as I walked through the doorway. One way to find out.
