I made my way to the movie room and ran into Dr. Sloan on the way. And I mean, ran into. I bumped her with my shoulder. "Oh, crap. Sorry. I'm out of it. Oh, Dr. Sloan. Hey, sorry again."

She smiled. "No problem, Talia. And please, call me Lexie."

"What are you doing here?"

"Sam asked me to live here for a while, for the new trainees."

I nodded. "Oh, that'll be great for them. I'm glad. I'm sure that makes it easy on Bucky, too. How is he?" Lexie didn't respond, just smiled at me. "Right. Can't tell me that, sorry." I laughed nervously.

"You know," she started speaking as she backed away. "You could always come visit too."

"I'll keep that in mind, thank you." I smiled before turning and making my way back to the movie room. This time, they weren't all separated. Sam and Angel were next to each other, followed by Bruce and Rhodey in the middle. On the right was Eva, Steve, Bucky, and Kai. When they saw me, Kai stood up to let me sit down. Which landed me between Bucky and Kai, the last place I wanted to be but how could I say that without making things even more awkward? Instead I sat quietly and tried to keep my body to myself as much as possible.

It seemed like neither man was worried about making it awkward, as they both adjusted and ended up pressing against me. Bucky moved so his arm was behind me on the back of the couch, and Kai's arm was pressed against my thigh. I took a deep breath trying to focus myself on anything but them. And epically failed. Kai's fingers started rubbing my thigh above my knee and I thought about how easy it would be to just lean into Bucky. The first fifteen minutes of the movie I didn't see a second of it. And then I realized. Someone here can read my mind. Shit.

I snapped my head towards Angel to see her smirking. Not funny, Angel. I thought. To which she responded by actually giggling. Sam, who had now had his arm wrapped around her, turned to look at her and raised an eyebrow. "Sorry, Talia's just very funny."

"Right. Mind reading. Okay, cool." Sam nodded and went back to the movie.

Bucky leaned against me. "You okay, doll?"

"Yep. Peachy." I said, still looking straight forward. Bucky's arm wrapped around me and his fingers started rubbing my shoulder, while Kai's hand rested right above my knee. These men would be the death of me.

The movie ended and I was the first one to stand up. "I need a drink, anyone else need a drink?" A few of the group agreed. "Okay, cool. I'll meet you all by the bar." I walked out from between Bucky and Kai and went right to the bar. I poured myself a shot and rubbed my head. What the fuck am I doing?

"Whatcha drinking?" Kai sat on the other side of the bar.

"Tequila. Want some?" I held the bottle out and he nodded. I poured two more shots, just as we were about to take them, Bucky sat next to Kai.

"Pour one for me too, doll." He smiled at me.

I smiled back but rolled my eyes. "Might as well be pouring it down the sink, but sure." I poured the shot and Kai looked confused.

"I can't get drunk. Super soldier and all." Bucky explained, and it almost sounded like bragging.

"He can't, but I sure as hell can." Sam approached, grinning with his arm still around Angel.

I held the bottle up. "Everyone who wants a shot, get a glass." Bruce and Rhodey were the only ones who didn't join us. The seven of us who were drinking held our shots up. "This is our first night drinking together as a team. We should make this shot for something special." I looked around.

"We should." Steve agreed.

"To the new Captain America." I smiled. "To the new team members."

"And to new romances." Angel added, leaning into Sam and winked at me.

"To the new!" I said louder this time and everyone repeated it back before drinking their shot. "Okay, this is my one and only offer to bartend for the night so what does everyone want?" I smiled at Kai first.

He leaned forward and smiled before speaking quietly. "Just pour me a cup of that, doll." He winked and I rolled my eyes.

"I'll take a whiskey." Bucky said firmly, if he didn't have super hearing, he probably wouldn't have heard Kai. But he did. I poured the two men their drinks and went around getting everyone what they wanted. When everyone had drinks, I grabbed a few bottles and we made our way to the couch. Angel was on Sam's lap, Steve and Kai were on the chairs, Eva was next to Sam and Bucky was on the other side of her. I sat on the arm rest of the couch near Bucky but he grabbed me with his left arm and pulled me into his lap. I giggled as he wrapped his arms around me and I got comfortable. When I looked up, Kai had his eyes on the floor.

"So," Sam spoke first. "We gonna play a drinking game or what?"

Steve scoffed. "Okay, Stark."

I tensed up and I felt Bucky do the same. His arm was still wrapped around me so I rubbed my fingers against his skin and he responded by tightening his grip. I knew he'd be forever followed by his guilt, and he knows I'll never get over losing Tony. Bucky and I were broken in similar ways. Us being together almost made sense. But then I looked over to Kai, and my thoughts got blurry again.

I shook my head and cleared my throat. "Maybe not a game. But we should use this time to get to know each other. Tomorrow we're going to have our first training session."

"What were you thinking, Talia?" Steve asked.

I didn't look at him when I answered. "Maybe 20 questions? You ask someone a question, they answer, then they get to ask someone else a question, repeat?"

Eva was the first to agree. "Yes! I love that, can I ask first?"

I laughed and the group did too. "Sure, Eva. Go ahead."

She turned to Angel. "Angel. When you're having sex, can you feel how the other person is feeling?"

We all burst out laughing except for Steve, he looked uncomfortable and it only made me laugh harder. Angel cleared her throat. "I uh, I've never tried."

Eva frowned. "That's disappointing."

"Okay Angel. Your turn." I said, still kind of laughing.

"Bucky?" Angel leaned forward.

"Hm?" Bucky hummed in reply.

"What does..." she hesitated. "How much can you feel in your arm?"

Bucky shifted in his seat, moving me in the process. "Before this one, I couldn't feel anything. Now I can feel pressure, sometimes temperature. I can feel Talia pressed against it, but I can't feel if her clothes are soft or if her skin feels rough."

Angel nodded. "Makes sense. Thank you."

"'Course." Bucky replied. "Okay, my turn. Sam, what do you think of your new suit design." He said, grinning.

Sam rolled his eyes. "It's all right."
