After 90 years of running, it had to come to an end. She found herself in Mystic Falls, a place she'd be dreading to go to but it was bound to happen. Luna Salvatore, the youngest Salvatore, arrived in Mystic Falls. Little did she know, her coming t...

'I don't know, Hayley,' Jackson started, standing off to the side. He kept his voice down, but it would do little to keep Luna from hearing their words. Jackson didn't seem to care, 'I have a bad feeling about this.' He added, not bothering to lower his voice.
'I know. But she could've back-stabbed us ages ago. And she's helped,' Hayley urged, drawing closer towards her husband. She looked down at her boots, then over at Luna, 'Besides, her little girl deserves better.'
'We're putting ourselves at risk. Everyone — everything.'
'And if we get moving, the target will fall off our backs soon enough.' Hayley shot back. She raised her brows, her eyes silently searching his for approval.
They remained silent for a moment. Jackson looked up at the grey clouds that were brewing a storm, 'We already agreed. I guess we don't have a choice.'
Hayley smiled at him, brushing her hand over his arm in reassurance before walking over towards Luna. She held onto Cecelia tightly, waiting for the right moment to turn around as the married couple approached her.
'We should get going before the storm hits. Are you sure he doesn't know where you are?' Hayley asked, and while she tried to convey her words as curiosity her fear was palpable.
'Elijah said he has a dagger in his chest, and even if that won't work, we're both cloaked,' Luna breathed out. The Bayou was eerily quiet, and the sun had almost set, 'I guess we should go then.'
Hayley nodded, looking down at Cecelia nestled against Luna's chest. The former smiled slightly, 'She's knocked out, huh?'
Luna paused for a moment, 'Yeah,' She looked down at her daughter, 'It's all the moving around, the tension. Even if she doesn't understand it, she can feel it.'
'She's not the only one.' Jackson said, folding his arms over his chest. The howling wind picked up around them.
'Jack...' Hayley mumbled, almost as a warning.
'No, it's fine,' Luna said, 'I get it. You don't have to trust me. But I can promise you, I'm not the enemy.' She tried to sound as convincing as possible, but her fingers tapped nervously against her daughters back.
She was worried her expression didn't convey the same sincerity as her tone, especially with the way Jackson's narrowed eyes surveyed her.
'I'm hoping that promise holds up.'

Luna and the group of wolves she was accompanied by moved through the Bayou quickly. Despite the countless times Luna had found herself running through the woods, she wouldn't be able to navigate them so skilfully alone.
The way the canopy of leaves filtered the moonlight, and cast shadows among the dense trees ensured she didn't lose herself in the part she was playing. She thought every brief movement she caught was Dahlia or Klaus.
