After 90 years of running, it had to come to an end. She found herself in Mystic Falls, a place she'd be dreading to go to but it was bound to happen. Luna Salvatore, the youngest Salvatore, arrived in Mystic Falls. Little did she know, her coming t...

Scepticism was not something Luna wanted to be met with in the morning. Second-guessing each move, deciding the instant she opened her eyes how much attention she needed to draw to herself.
She'd settled on manoeuvring around the room quickly, but invisibly, if that was possible with Klaus trailing her movements.
The door was left ajar as she slipped out, and she pulled her robe on, fastening the sash around her waist while walking down the hallway.
Luna tried to shake the panic that pooled in her chest, but it wouldn't subside when she knew, with certainty, that Klaus was listening to every step she took.
Since pacifying that panic wasn't possible, she had to pretend she could ignore it. Ignore a persistent gnawing, that could easily be resolved, if she could shake what bound her mind.
She waited to be absolved when stepping into her daughter's room, but it never came. The light smile that had graced her features had been overcast by something bitter. The Six of Wands, on top of Cecelia's sleeping body.
She picked it up quickly, looking down at Cecelia like the card might taint her. Luna flipped it over, narrowing her eyes at the message left for her over the red and black curlicues twisting into the centre, 'Come find me xx'.
Luna hoped that if she glared at the card long enough, it might lose its meaning. But instead, the hauntingly perfect cursive letters burned into her mind.
Footsteps then emerged from her room, and she stuffed the card into the pocket of her robe, pressuring herself into pretending it wasn't burning a hole through it.
She acted preemptively, leaving the nursery and going back to the bedroom, brushing past Klaus in the doorway. Like nothing happened.
His presence lingered behind her as she changed quickly. He didn't say anything; instead, he hovered in a way that reeked of paranoia.
Though deception wasn't the right move, when he asked if she was alright, she absently said, 'Yeah, of course,' despite her only thought being to try to figure out how to get the card out of the robe pocket without him seeing.
Telling him was the sanest thing to do because it impacted him just as much, but in a very different way. For Luna, the desire to meet the faceless woman who'd somehow wedged her way into the centre of each conversation, was more palpable to her than Klaus.
He'd manage to talk her out of it, as well. Or he'd try exceptionally hard. Klaus's hard glare was pinned to her back while her hands fumbled with the robe in her hands, weeding the card out of her pocket and tucking it into her waistband. Her shirt fell over the card, and Luna moved quicker than she had prior.
She pressed a kiss onto his lips before leaving like the few words they'd exchanged was enough. His eyes followed her out of the room, but he didn't call out after her.
