Something New (5 Seconds of Summer and Before You Exit)

My Parents!

Taylor's POV:

That night I ended up staying in my condo but the McDonough Boys stayed with me. The next morning we then picked up vikki and we all met up at the 5SOS house for a small pool party.

Once we got there we could here music blasting in the backyard and once we went through the house we saw Luke, Michael and Ashton playing with a mini basketball net in there huge pool. It had waterfalls and a mini slide on the side too!

Vikki and I went inside and stepped into one of the bedrooms to change into our bikini's. I had a mint coloured one with a white tribal pattern and Vikki was wearing a coal coloured one. We both go back out to the pool and I could see Calum's eyes following Vikki as she sets a couple things down on a chair

I just stand there at the door until I feel warm arms go under my arms and around my waist and i feel someones head ontop of mine

"Hi Toby" i say giggling

"Hello beauti-i mean hey Tay" He says back. I turn around and stare at him and he is still looking at me. I smile at him and kiss his cheek then run into the pool with him chasing after me

It was about an hour later and we were all in the pool playing volleyball. one team was Toby, Connor, Luke and Me. The other team was Vikki, Calum, Ashton and Riley. Michael didn't want to play sooo he decided to be the referee

"Hey Taylor your phone is ringing. Its your...Dad?" Michael says confused

My eyes were wide. Shit. They probably found out that I left. I get out of the pool and run over to my phone to answer it

Me: hello? Dad?

Dad: hi taylor. How is LA?

Me: look dad i didn't want to be stuck at home all summer on my own! I want to be with Vikki! Plus you and mom won't even be home till September anyways!

I was getting really pissed off cause i knew he would be mad but he has no right considering he never even took car of us

Dad: Well i am your father and you have no right to talk to me this way and actually we were going to come home early and suprise you but when we saw the note on the table obviously you and your sister decided to disobey us

Me: So now what are you gonna send me home and lock me away forever!? Cause I wouldnt be suprised

Dad: I will call you tomorrow at 12pm

And he hung up. I've only been here for 3 weeks and my parents have already found out about me leaving. This fucking sucks. I decide to just grab towel and just go to the living room.

Being here is LA has really turned my life around and I have gotten so much closer to these people. It even gave me the courage to make Youtube videos on my own channel which Toby and featured in some and so has some of 5SOS. This has been lifechanging and if my parents can't see that then thats jsut diapointing.

I get pulled out of my thoughts when I feel the couch dip to my left. I look up to see Toby smiling at me. He is the most important and amazing thing that has happened to me out here. We have become such close friends and I don't want that to change.

"What did your dad say?" He asks

"he's really mad. Hes calling me back tomorrow at noon to tell me what my punishment is but i dont want to go home! My life here is amazing and I dont want to leave! My life in New York was average but here i can start fresh and not have to have the weight of the past carry me and i-"

I was cut off by Toby's lips crashing onto mine. It took me a second to realise what happened but I do kiss him back and bring my arms around his neck and he wraps his arms around my waist.

We detach ourselves from each other and i lay back on the couch and look at him

"What was that for?" I ask biting my lip

"Because I dont want you to be worrying about this right now and i knew it would shut you up, annnnnd I have wanted to do that ever since I saw you riding down my street on your pennyboard." He says smiling at me and holing my small hand

"Taylor, I dont care if your dad comes to take you away or not. I really want to make your time here memorable and I want to be apart of those memories. So, would you like to go out with me tomorrow night?" He asks nervously

"Toby that is so sweet and yes I would love to go out with you." I say leaning in and kissing his soft lips again
