So.... let me say this real quick-
The Evolutionists are Time Travelers-!
Ueah, I don't know where this headcannon came from. The only logical way of figuring it out would be that fact they can jump from one update to the next through portals.
My thoughts is that they once were from the present day, but got sent back in time by an unknown entity *cough cough* The Watchers- *cough* and they were trying to find a way to return home.
