Rogue Planet
Ejected from its parent star at escape velocity
Speeding through empty space traversing light years
Orphan World
Lost and wandering in the darkness under a sunless sky
Only starlight to guide its aimless way through eternity
Planemo
Turning cold and frozen as its core begins to cool
Struggling life in a chilly ocean under a kilometre of ice
Forever left to wander alone in the dark, afraid
Never to feel the warmth of a star again
Pity the Rogue Planet, the sad Orphan World, the frozen Planemo
