Title: Dual Brain Theory

Moments of happiness
Snatched from the twisting nether
Stolen from the unforgiving void
Consumed greedily like candy

It was so easy at first;
When I was young and brave and unafraid
Foolish and unhindered and dancing into danger with the passion of an explorer in uncharted territory

Now the monsters come at night to collect their premium on my pleasure
And I have no currency to trade but my sanity

I long to be alone, but then long for the company of others. Don't want to live but too afraid to die.

Said my lovers friend to me, "what is it you want?"
"I don't know," I said, "I'm just playing pool."
"Then," he retorted as he ignored my reply, "you'd better figure it out."
