Title: The Small Prayer
I wish to share with you a small prayer
Something I say and do every day
Before I leave the house
To help me on my way
Dear Jesus
Let's do it
Let's make a good day
We can do it
Keep me safe from evil
Keep me safe from sin
Push the devil out
And let Jesus' love shine in
Then I cross myself three times
With the right hand not the left
For these are my beliefs and faith
Hoping to avoid ending up bereft
When I come home I cross myself again
Forgetting tear I may have shed
Whilst looking at a picture of Jesus
Then I say these words in my head
Thank you Jesus
Thank you for a good day
I'm grateful for all the good things in my life
Bless my friends and family
And those less fortunate than myself
These are my small prayers
