Title: You Know How To Hurt Me
You know how to hurt me
With your cutting jibes
You know how to cut me
With those bitchy vibes
I thought we were friends
But friendships are falsehoods
They're just waiting for you to slip
A crucible of Goody Goods
You know how to hurt me
Knowing just what to say
Opportunistic insulter
Snarky remarks; you've got a way
And these are the people I have counted as my 'mates'
These are the jerks I have called 'pals'
Rocking in and out of my life like a hurricane
And not understanding their rationales
So yes, you know how to hurt me
When it's abundantly obvious how different I am
How very sensitive I am underneath the hard face
Well, I will not allow my heart to harden further. I will remain the lamb.
