Title: SheShe'd tell you the sky is blue
I'd tell you the sky is grey
She'd tell you it's high noon
But, it's always midnight somewhere in the world, I'd say
She'd tell you lies about me
I'd tell you lies to protect her
She'd tell you I'd had an imaginary friend
I'd tell you I was only trying to please, playing along with her game
She'd sell me out to win your favour
I'd be exposed for all to see
She'd make me fetch a rod for my own back
I'd laugh, ridiculously, as she beat me
She'd never see herself as I do
I'd never be seen as I see myself
She'd say we're all doing the best we can
I'd say that's chicken feed, a liars wealth
She'd say she loves me
I'd say love can be a selfish desire
She'd say she gave me everything she was
I'd say she took everything I am, that I could be, like an unhappy, deluded, mana vampire.
Like a caged bird
My wings clipped
You left the door ajar
But I'm too afraid to hop away
