Title: Rainy DaysI love the rain, let it rain
It washes the scum from the streets
The heavier the downpour, the better
Forces the dirt into the gutter
Down into the drain where it belongs
I can walk in peace, in empty streets
Rain covering my face, cleansing me
London is mine during this time
I hope it's long and torrential
Forecast for all week long
Sometimes I walk four miles home
Avoiding commuters, their rage
Enjoying backstreets and rain
I'm not a martyr though
I put up the umbrella and stroll
Head down at the soaked ground
I love rainy days, let it rain
