CHAPTER 7

So, this is how it feels like to be happily married. Loved, cared, secured and contented.

Some say, marriage is an extremely huge decision to bind your life to another imperfect person and to commit love that person sacrificially. It's so darn expensive and it takes a lot of effort to get the wedding day right. That's why a lot of people don't get it.

But personally, when you do, it's all worth it.

I stared at myself in the mirror wearing my white top and old rose skirt matched with white pump heels. I put some make up, not forgetting my signature red lipstick. I took my pouch and stormed out of the room.

Kukuhanin ko na sana ang susi ng kotse ko nang makita si Israel na mismong nakasandal sa kaniyang white Bugatti Chiron. Looking handsome as ever while wearing his black longsleves polo tucked with his black pants. The sun is bright making him wore his favorite sunglasses.

Ang gwapo ng asawa ko.

"Hey, baby. Why are you still here?" I asked sweetly. "I thought you went to work already?"

He smiled. "I'll take you to your class."

Nagugulat akong napatitig sa kaniya. "Are you serious?"

"Come on." He held my hand. "I don't want you to be late."

"May masakit ba sa 'yo?" Dinampi ko ang likod ng palad sa kaniyang noo at leeg. "Nilalagnat ka ba?"

Natawa siya at humalik sa aking labi. "Let's go, baby."

Mula nang alalayan niya akong makasakay sa sports car niya hanggang magmaneho siya ay hindi pa rin ako makapaniwalang ihahatid niya ako sa trabaho.

I'm not dreaming, right? This is really happening.

"If you keep your eyes on me, I won't think twice to drive back home and cuddle with you the whole day."

"Oh, please. Yes," wala sa sariling sambit ko!

Mahina siyang natawa. "You're so hot, Luna."

"Mas hot ka."

He reached for my hand and intertwined it while his other hand remained on the wheel. "It's my day off, baby."

"Bakit hindi mo agad sinabi? Para nakapag-day off din ako."

Nakaramdam ako ng panghihinayang. Gusto ko pa namang sulitin ang araw na 'to kasama siya. Dahil bawing-bawi ang naging anniversary namin.

"You have your long quiz scheduled for today. Three sections in Interior Design."

"Yeah, right." I heaved a deep sigh. "Hindi ko nga pala pwedeng ipagpaliban 'yon. Baka mahuli sila sa lesson." Saka ko siya nilingon. "Where will you go then?"

"We have a meeting in the Center Palace."

Nagsalubong ang kilay ko. "For what? Sinu-sino kayo? Bakit hindi ako kasama?"

I'm part of the high rank leaders and yet, I'm not aware na may meeting sila?

"King Luca, Hunter Leader and I will talk about the tightening of borders in the City of Hunt. May ilang nakapasok na rebelde mula sa ibang bansa."

"Rebelde?" Nagtaka naman ako. "Matagal na bago ulit nangyari 'yan, ah?"

"That's what we're going to prevent." He squeezed my hand. "Don't worry. Just focus on your work, okay?"

Tumango naman ako at hinigpitan ang hawak sa kamay niya. Naalis lamang 'yon nang marating namin ang Moon University. Talagang pinarada niya ang sasakyan sa mismong tapat ng building na pinapasukan ko.
