Sitting at the foot of the bed, with head in hands, I felt helpless as my wife got ready for her date.

She barely acknowledged my presence, and honestly I don't blame her.
I caused this.
Hearing the click of her heels, as she walked out of our bathroom, I looked up at her, feeling my heart crumble even more.
She was wearing the dress I bought her from our last anniversary.

"Still fits me like a glove, doesn't it?" She rhetorically asked, looking at herself in the mirror.
"Blair?" I called for her, but she only ignored me.
"Blair!"
Hearing her huff at me raising my voice, she turned around crossing her arms over her voluptuous chest.
"What do you want, Maurice?" She asked, making me flinch a little.
She never calls me by my first name, unless she's pissed or annoyed.
