THEY HAVEN'T HAD A MASQUERADE BALL in Mystic Falls since the one after Richard Lockwood's death.

That ball had been quite an interesting event. They had tried to trick Katherine Peirce--Carolines part of the plan the only one succeeding--but her witch friend had linked her to Elena which stumped the Mystic Falls gang.

It was no secret that Katherine Peirce was a survivor. She had lived 500 years on the run from Klaus Mikaelosn after she had killed herself. She was witty, ambitious, resourceful... useful.

"I don't think we should trust her," Jed said with his arms crossed, glaring into the woman's head.

"Of course not," Stefan Salvatore piped up, crossing his own arms over his chest, "you never trust Katherine Peirce, Jed."

"Standing right here, you know," Katherine said, raising her hand in the air and waving it a bit.

Stefan ignored her, turning to Katelyn. "That's exactly why Katelyn here is going to compel her."

The blonde looked up from where she was looking at a blueprint of the mansion her father owned where said ball was going to take place. Hope was standing beside her, marking entrances and exits that they needed to cover.

Katelyn nodded to the man and sped over to Katherine who had attempted to sneak out. She turned the woman towards her and looked her right in the eye. "You will not ingest any vervain. If you do by accident you will tell me straight away. You are going to do as Stefan, Hope, or I say and you will not attempt to kill anyone but the witches tonight," she said.

Katherine shoved her off, sighing. "Fine, whatever," she grunted, plopping down on the couch of the Circles house.

Stefan smirked. "Alright, kids--"

"We're not kids," Hope grumbled under her breath, "we're over 50 years old."

Stefan waved her off with a shake of his head, "technically, to me, you still are kids. I'm older than all of you--"

"Not me!" Katelyn and Katherine both argued, looking mildly offended.

"Shut up!" Stefan said, throwing his hands in the air. He ran a hand through his hair and released a breath. "So, we have a day before the ball. What's our plan for Georgia?" He asked Hope.

The auburn-haired girl leaned against the table. "Malivore is in a place called Triad Industries," she told the group, "the witches have made an alliance with the members of Triad-- humans. They hate Supernatural but they promised to help bring Malivore to life so the Triad helps them out."
