THE OPPOSITES (DRACO X Y/N)

Can we.. talk?

It is pouring cats and dogs this month. The tournament is over and Cedric's death has been mourned by the entire school for a whole week. At dinner one week later-

Hermione: "Y/n, I think Cormac might ask you out today."

Y/n: "That's cool."

But deep down, Y/n feels it is time to speak to Draco again.

Cormac: "Hey Y/n! Wanna go on a date with me tomorrow?"

Y/n: "Sure, I would love to."

Hermione: "Y/n, don't turn around."

Y/n: "W-why not?"

Y/n turns around to see Draco, his eyes welling with tears. Draco runs off.

Cormac: "What's up with him?"

Y/n: "I really need to check on him. I'll talk to you later, Cormac."

Y/n runs after Draco and finds him crying on the second floor corridor.

Draco: "I miss you Y/n.." (breaks down)

Y/n: "Draco."

Draco turns around to see Y/n.

Draco: "Can- can we talk?"

Y/n: "Sure."

Draco: "What did I do?"

Y/n looks at her feet.

Y/n: "I was just a little upset over you taking Daphne to a date and cancelling our plans. But I overreacted. I'm sorry."

Draco: "Wait- how do you know about me and Daphne?"

Y/n: "That's not the point. I just- kind of- felt tossed away. Left out."

Draco: "You know, I never did want to take her on a date."

Y/n looks up and makes eye contact.

Draco: "Blaise dared me to take Daphne out on a date the next Hogsmeade weekend. I was quite unwilling to, but did it anyway.

Y/n: "Now I feel stupid."

Draco: "Don't."

Y/n walks closer up to Draco an hugs him. Draco pulls away.

Y/n: "But, why were you crying right now? When I was speaking to Cormac?"

silence.

Y/n: "I want the truth. Draco."

Draco: "I- I don't know how to say this. But w-why can't you want me like the other girls do?"

Y/n looks at Draco, befuddled.

Draco: "Isn't it obvious that I'm in love with you?"

A tear rolls down Draco's cheek.

Y/n: "Draco.."

Draco: "I know you like Cormac. It's alright."

Y/n: "Draco, no!"

Draco: "Go on, your little boyfriend must be waiting."

Y/n(Shouting): "He is not my boyfriend!"

Draco(shouting): "But you like him, don't you?" 

Y/n(tears flowing uncontrollably): "I love you, you idiot!" 

Draco stares intently at Y/n, as a few last tears leave their eyes.

Draco: "Is- is that why you were so mad on me going on a date with Daphne?"

Y/n: "Yes."

Draco walks up to Y/n and grabs her neck. Y/n can feel his cold rings on the back of her neck. Draco touches Y/n's lips with his other hand, and a shiver runs down her spine. Draco pulls Y/n's face towards his, and their lips meet, as Draco kisses her passionately.

Y/n pulls away but Draco pulls her back in roughly.

"I CAN'T BELIEVE THIS!!!"
