Chapter 7- Hearts Bloom like Flowers in the Sunlight

After about a week of going to school, Y/n had met many new friends- as the resident 'new kid' everyone (most) people were being nice to her- until a white haired boy showed up.
But instead of being nice to him, most actually ignored him.
Hu Tao suggested that Y/n was so popular because of her "charm," though, Y/n doubted it.

So one day at lunchtime, she spotted him sleeping on a rock.

Hu Tao smirked, "is he a lizard or something?"

Y/n turned to her friend, "or something," then, "go to class, you don't have to wait for me."

"What if I want to?" Hu Tao cocked her head. But, contradictory to her words, she walked away.

Y/n wandered towards the boy on the rock.
She tapped his shoulder, he didn't stir. She shook him.

'Darn, I wish I could sleep this well...' she thought.

She shoved him off the rock.
He landed on the ground with a thud and looked at her, dazed.
Round red eyes blinked at her as he registered her movement.
(Y/n realises, she's jealous of his eyelashes.)

"Hello?" He stated, blankly.

"Sorry for waking you up so roughly. You were asleep and I didn't want you to be late."

"A-ah... I was sleeping. At the most horrible time."

Y/n stared at him pondering whether she was dealing with another Ganyu.
Then again, Ganyu was hard-working and sweet, Y/n wouldn't mind being around the male version of her.
He wasn't another Ganyu.

"Come on. Let's go, you wouldn't want to be late."

The boy let Y/n help him up and they walked to class together and on his face, an expression of childlike wonder.

"Ah, my name is Kazuha, Kaedehara Kazuha. And you are Y/n, I assume. Very popular with our classmates."

"Ah, yes. How did you know?- You just started here," she rose an eyebrow.

He glanced at her, "I couldn't help but notice."

After school Y/n met with Aether and Lumine, urging Kazuha to meet them.

"This is my friend, Kazuha. He has none so, could you please get along... Just for a while?" (She means he has no friends.)

He smiled warmly and raised his hand in a half-wave towards the siblings before saying he was headed off to do errands for a woman called Beidou.
Y/n watched him leave.

She felt someone shake her shoulders, "aren't you going to follow him- the love interest? That's what always happens in romance novels!"

Y/n's face reddened, "ah... no, I only met him today. And I have no interest in relationships at this moment."

Aether stood behind the two girls, his heart pounding. Y/n looked towards him, and he glanced away at the sudden eye-contact.

Lumine's voice, "Oh there you are! Do you want to come to the library with us?"

Y/n spun around to face Xiao.

He tilted his head, his hair shifted to reveal dark teal undertones, "sure. Why not?"

The group spent the afternoon together in the library. Y/n's heart bloomed at the feeling of happiness she felt when surrounded by some of her friends.
