(Okay, okay. The reason I have been preparing for this chapter is because some clues to the murderer(s) are being released- and new characters are being introduced. AND, as time goes on, the characters will become more obsessed with you/Y/n/the reader.)
The sun's heat waves radiated off the windows.
Y/n glanced outside of the one situated above the sink in their kitchen, she gazed at the lovely day.Her mother wandered by with her usual morning coffee, "ah. I see, it's one of those rare sunny days, isn't it?" She smiled softly, "too bad I have to go to the office, otherwise I'd be taking advantage of it."
Y/n grinned at her mother- literally the older version of her. "Don't worry about missing out. I'll be sweating and exhausted by noon."
She then glanced around for her father, "where's dad?"Her mother covered a yawn, "he had an early rise this morning- some trouble at his workplace."
Y/n tilted her head, "I thought he wasn't actually a builder?"
"He isn't. There are some problems with the land that the company is planning to build a commercial store on, so he his team need to figure out what to do with it. Though, this morning, at the crack-of-dawn I was woken up by his loud and heavy footsteps. But, oh well. At least I didn't marry a snorer, otherwise I would be getting no sleep at all." Her mother winked and trudged away to the bathroom.
Y/n's toast popped from the toaster and she quickly plucked the boiling slices of bread from the machine, scalding her fingertips. She winced.
After eating, she prepared for school and heard a thump at her door.
Still paranoid, she crept around and pulled the slab of wood open by the gold handle. She peeked out.
A grinning face greeted her- and a not-so grinning face.Y/n was pleasantly surprised to see the latter. "Ganyu! You're well, again!"
She didn't look that well. Her posture was slightly more slumped than her usually tired idle standing pose. One leg was bent as though it was painful to put pressure on. And her left arm was in a sling.
But her face wavered slightly, and a smile appeared. "Morning, Y/n."Then Y/n finally remembered. "Ah!" She closed the door and apologies swiftly to the two girls.
Thundering up the stairs, she ran to her room.
Her s/c hand clutched the little golden object between fragile fingers.Thundering down the stairs.
"Ganyu." Throwing open the door.
Ganyu's face was also... pleasantly surprised. "Y/n... My bell? You had it the whole time?" Thank you!"
The blue haired girl threw herself into Y/n's arms. The pair gave one another a gentle squeezing hug.Hu Tao stared, her face a mask of nonchalance. Her lips parted. "C'mon, lovebirds. We have to go, or we'll be late."
At that moment, Y/n's mother sped past her- also late.
You know... Like mother, like daughter, right?

"La,la,la,laaaa~" Klee bounded around the backyard and came to a stop in front of her arts-and-crafts table.
Her new hobby was making amateur explosives- she had picked it up last month when watching a documentary with her brother and mother.
That brother- in question was walking towards her table right at that moment. She released a short gasp, realising that he wouldn't be happy to see her playing with explosives- he had told her many times before.
