The bell rang and everyone was seated for homeroom on Monday.
At the front of the classroom was a dark haired girl.
She stood with a straight back, her ruby coloured eyes scanning the room.
She was pretty, in an intimidating way.
Their teacher gestured at that girl, "this is Yun Jin. She has transferred from a school on the other side of the world. Maybe she can tell us of her adventures?"
She smiled serenely, "I joined the Yun-Han Opera Troupe and performed in the production of 'The Divine Damsel of Devestation.' And..." She looked at the floor before continuing, "I like... rock music."
Y/n found her intriguing.
And Hu Tao grinned, "the annual Talent Show is in a few weeks too. She'll make it more interesting."
"Oh, really?"
"Yep. Every year it's the same talented people and also pranksters to embarrass those people," Hu Tao rested her chin on her palm. "The whole school is stuck watching our peers try to perform."
"Oh. That actually sounds fun?" Y/n smiled, "do you think I can perform too?"
Hu Tao grinned, "I tried some mock necromancy... which got me booted off the stage." She hummed, "well, most people opt for singing and dancing or playing instruments or reading poetry...
She sighed, suddenly unhappy. "Your friend Barbara sang and danced for us every year since she arrived at this school, she had a beautiful angelic voice... and she looked so happy."
"Oh. Sorry for asking. I'll puzzle it out."
"Hmm. It's just that my mind strays to stuff like that," Hu Tao rested the side of her face on her desk, smiling softly.
The teacher marked the role as Yun Jin took a seat at the back of the classroom and read through her schedule.
Y/n watched the pretty girl.
She had ruby eyes and her hair was a deep shade of onyx, it fell down her back. She had a fair complexion to top off her angelic innocent-looking face.
She was beautiful.
