Keqing stood in the middle of the street, biting her thumbnail... How could they just disappear into thin air?
The captor could have taken them further away- but, why go through all the effort?
Her swirling thoughts began to fry her brain, but she was grounded by a hand on her shoulder.Keqing turned around to face the two peers she brought along with her, "I... am so sorry for wasting your time."
Tears pricked her eyes as she said those words... She thought she was bright and wanted to be a detective more than anything in the world... But when it really mattered, she guessed she wasn't up for it.Xiao shook his head at her, "you're not wasting it. We came along with you to find our friends... They may still be in danger like you said."
Ganyu looked shaken up as she eyed the buildings around them, "this place is so creepy... Do you think they're here?"
Keqing glanced around at the decrepit buildings surrounding them, "it is most probable."
Xiao then stared around too, "should we start from scratch, again?"
Keqing frowned, "perhaps, it would be better to call the police."
Both Ganyu and Xiao frowned at that.
The blue-haired girl sighed, "weren't you the one who dragged us here to investigate?"
"I'm starting to have second thoughts..."

Heizou perched on the visitors' couch in the detective agency. He clutched a plastic bag with the bloody knife in it.
Bantan Sango was currently speaking with some officers and was attempting to explain the whole ordeal to them.Once the woman was finished, the officers left out the door and she responded to Heizou. "You found this?"
He nodded and handed it over, "there was also a street that led out from the back alley. There were scratches on the floor and watery blood."
Sango sighed, "well, I'll have it sent to the forensics lab... Did you look any further into the street you mentioned?"
"Yes. But I came up fruitless... There was a boy crying over his friend's grave though... oh yeah, and lots and lots of crows."
"Well, it may be our only option... Did you go talk to him?"
"Yes. But he was just sitting at the base of a tree in one of the houses... The others were all locked." Heizou bit his lip. "Maybe if the houses are locked... They're meant to keep anyone from getting out rather than in?"
"Perhaps... But I can't say. I think we should step back for a while, it may get dangerous- who knows what happened to those students?"
"So, we should just let it go? I came back here to get backup!" He tapped his foot on the ground, impatient to get back out on the field. "They might need us."
"No, no, no. Those officers are assisting in the investigation... I promise, no stone will be left unturned."
Then she sighed once again, "get some rest. We'll go investigate first thing in the morning."
The woman patted Heizou on the shoulder as she walked down the hallway to her study- where she had brought in a mattress to sleep on.Heizou frowned and watched her go. 'Was he not trustworthy?'
'Why did she not want him to go investigate when lives were on the line?'
Of course, purposely not heeding Sango's previous words, Heizou slung his coat over his shoulders and left straight out the door.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Y/n slumped in her bindings on the wooden chair, tilting her head to allow shaggy h/c hair to fall away from her face. Her eyes were shiny with frustrated tears and a scowl was plastered permanently onto her lips.
