Kokomi's killer peeled the soiled nurse outfit off, eying the blood stains with disgust.
He felt like a delirious cosplayer.

"Fu-" He growled at the mess surrounding him.

A female voice floated up the stairs, "Hello up there? Are you alright?"

Concerned as usual. She and her friend laughed together at the thump they heard when his legs got tangled in the fabric, and he crashed to the floor, hitting his chin on the wood.

He sighed and scrambled to his feet, tugging a pair of pants over his bruised legs from his ordeal a few days ago.

The female voice came from outside his door now. "Um..." She sounded sheepish, "If you're mad at me for abandoning you guys a few days ago... She certainly is - I can buy you an iced coffee?"

He cracked the door open and stepped out, swiftly shutting it to obscure the mess from his family member. "You don't have to. I had some matters to attend to and didn't notice your absence."
Archons... He didn't sound like himself, did he?

She narrowed those shrewd eyes of hers, "matters?"

He leant against his closed door, "It's my personal business. I'm not telling you shit... I swore myself to privacy."
He crossed his arms over his bare chest, "How about your matters?"

She sighed softly, "I attempted to meet with a guy I'd met online. I only saw him briefly, though - and it was a horrible sight."
"Now... You, too, are sworn to secrecy about this?"

He nodded at the girl and turned away, "You still owe me."

After entering his room, he slid down the door and breathed heavily.
Was it her?
Surely not...

Y/n woke early the next day. She was to meet with Gorou to discuss Kokomi's funeral.
She dashed out the front door in her uniform and towards where she thought the Wangsheng Funeral Parlour was located.

She spotted an elderly man unlocking the main area and his eyes brightened once seeing her. "If it isn't Miss Y/n L/n! To what do I owe the pleasure?"
Hu Tao's grandfather - the director- smiled and led her inside after hearing her request.
"You and the dog-eared boy are helping with Sangonomiya Kokomi's funeral service?"

"Yes. I'm sorry if I am disturbing you this early in the morning."

"No, no, no. You aren't." He chuckled, I don't have company at this time usually. It's very rare Zhongli stays late or arrived early, and Hu Tao is always sleeping in. My clients always insist on flocking in around noon. It's very quiet."

Y/n sat down in the side part of the parlour, fidgeting as she perched on a worn couch.

Then there was a loud thumping, "Grandfather? It's very loud. Who came in?"

"Hu Tao, it's your friend. She's here for Kokomi." He grinned at his granddaughter's dishevelled appearance. "Get dressed and come join us."

The brunette stumbled away sleepily to prepare.

The director brewed a pot of tea with their ancient-looking kettle. He sighed and brought up a sensitive topic. "Poor Hu Tao's been busying herself with Kokomi's murder. She must be in shock. Do you think the funeral proceedings will put her mind at rest?"
