That Monday, Y/n tried on her school uniform and packed her bag.
Y/n typically wasn't a morning person to be exact.
When her alarm went off, she had jolted awake and regretted it. Dizziness had overwhelmed her into ten more minutes of rest.~~~~~~~~~~~~
Y/n wandered down the hallway, clutching a slip of paper with her timetable on it.
She reached a door and opened it.
The classroom was empty, save for a young child.'Is this the wrong room?' She thought, as she gazed at the red dress the girl was wearing.
She pressed her lips together and glanced around.
Yes, it certainly was the right room. She shot a look at the blonde girl again and stepped closer.
Then she leaned down, bringing her hands to her knees, "hello? Are you lost?"
The girl smiled, "oh, don't worry. I'm waiting for someone."
Y/n pondered for a moment, "well, do you want to come to the office with me? You can wait for them there."
"Nope," the girl shook her head, "my brother is taking me to the primary school. He just has to check on his experiments first."
Then the girl tilted her head, "who are you? I haven't seen you before."
Y/n held her hand out, "oh, I'm Y/n, nice to meet you."
The girl giggled, "my name is Klee!"
A boy wandered into the room unnoticed, so Y/n jumped in surprise when he greeted his younger sister, "ah, hello Klee. Who is this?"
Y/n spun around, to come face-to-face with a handsome young man, "hello," he placed a hand on her shoulder, "are you lost?"
"No," she lied, "but is this the right classroom?" She handed him the paper.
"Ah, yes. Hello, Y/n. I'm Albedo, your class representative," he gave her a warm smile.
"Ah! So I wasn't lost after all!.... Where is everyone else?"
"You are quite early still. Most people would prefer to wait outside or chatter away with their friends in the hallways, rather than get to class early."
"Oh."
"Well, see you later. I'm going to take my little sister to school now," he waved at her as he plucked Klee from the desk, grabbed her bunny-shaped backpack and carried her out the door on his shoulders.
Looked along the desks in the room, surely there had to be about thirty students in the class?
That was many more than her past school.
Would it get too loud? Then, "yoohoo! Y/n!"
"AHHHHHHHH!" Y/n jumped back and fell onto the floor as Hu Tao stepped into her line of sight.
"Helloooo, it seems we are in the same class." The girl grinned, and helped Y/n to her feet.
"Uh, hi Hu Tao. I didn't see you come in."
"No worries. That's just how I am. It's not any of your fault, honestly."
She paused to study Y/n's face, "are you worried about your first day?" She grinned, "don't worry. This is a great school. And no one will hurt you while you're in my sight," creepily, the girl winked, slinging an arm around Y/n's shoulders."Class is starting soon. Choose a seat you want. There aren't really any seating plans- well, except inside the classes of strict teachers."
Y/n sat near the front, and Hu Tao plopped beside her, swinging her legs up to place her feet on the desk.
The bell rang, and Hu Tao's chair tipped back. The girl went sailing into the row of desks behind her.
The boy from the cafe before, sent her a deadly glare as Hu Tao scrambled to pick up herself up and straighten the chair.Distracting him, Y/n waved, "hi! I know you!" Then flinched at her words. 'She sounded like an idiot.'
He awkwardly waved back before glancing away from her gaze.
Hu Tao jumped to her feet, "surprisingly, that didn't hurt."
More students flooded into the classroom, and Y/n gazed around.
Hu Tao leaned over, "have you been to a big school before?"
"Why are you asking?"
"Ahh, you seem overwhelmed." Hu Tao gestured to the students as she and Y/n took their seats. "This isn't a spectacular sight actually. Some people are idiots."
Y/n laughed at that, relieved to have Hu Tao.
She felt warmth against her side and Ganyu slipped into the desk next to her, "hello again Y/n."
Hu Tao leaned over, "how much sleep did you get last night?"
"Mmmm... about five hours."
Y/n shook her head.
How could this girl function? So as Hu Tao and Ganyu conversed, she studied the faces of her classmates.
Some of which were shooting her curious glances at the strange girl in their class.Y/n placed her head on the desk as they waited for the teacher.
The desk was a light oak wood, well, she wasn't very good at telling the difference. The lights of the room were bright and shone down, illuminating the space. Her bag sat on the polished wooden floorboards near the sturdy leg of her desk.
Curious she rocked on her chair, only to be steadied by a firm hand of her female teacher."Do not rock on your chair. I've had enough injuries in this classroom," she sent glares to Hu Tao and ginger-haired fellow at the back.
Hu Tao promptly stuck her hands up in surrender. The boy didn't really notice. The teacher walked to the front of the room.
"Everyone, welcome Y/n."
