On the pavement, outside the front doors of the school sat a small knife. It had a cruel curved blade and was dripping with crimson.
Beforehand, it had been lodged in Mona's abdomen.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Jean trudged down the hall and saw Diluc.
"How was the student council while I was away?"
"We did fine. Ningguang took charge in your place- nothing catastrophic has occurred... yet." Diluc crossed his arms.
"Well, I'm glad to see nothing has changed."
At this point, Y/n saw them and went over.
"How are you Jean?"
"Ah. Y/n, I'm great. Revitalised... and now, ready to bring my sister to justice."
Y/n then tilted her head at Diluc, "and you are?"
He felt his head pound for a second... did he tell her or is she just forgetful? "Diluc Ragvindr. I guess it is a pleasure to meet you Y/n."
The h/c haired girl grinned- a shiny white smile. "You too."
She turned back to Jean who was reading something pasted on a locker with a dazed expression, "ah. Are you okay?"
Jean shrugged, "I'm fine. But- there is something missing..."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Lumine rushed for Y/n.

"Y/n. Y/n! The sports festival is coming up in a week or so. Want to be on my team?"

"There's a sports festival?"

"Yep!" Lumine grinned, "same time every year. We get to choose teams!"

"So, who's with us currently?"

"Me, you and Aether. You can recruit more people for me if you want!"

"Sure!"

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Y/n went to her most usual source of information.
"Hu Tao? Could you tell me about the sports festival?"
"Ah yes. It's a big whole-school event where all the athletic students run around and show off."
"Oh. Are you participating?"
"No. But, seeing as you are asking those questions- you are. I'll cheer you on."
"Oh. Okay," Y/n admitted that she felt disappointed.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Y/n walked to her next class and sat down at one of the empty desks- coincidentally next to Albedo, who she actually wanted to talk to.
So she waited as the class dragged on.
At the end of class, Y/n stood up and stepped in front of his desk. He looked up from the papers in his hands.

She looked down at him from his seat, "I'm curious."

He clearly understood what she said so he replied stiffly, "I found... they were fighting, and I stepped in to stop them. And I may have pushed Kokomi off Mona and against the wall... that was when she hit her head."

"Oh. So, they were fighting?"

"Yes. I should know by now not to enter into others' business, though... that's why Kokomi got hurt."

"Why do you think they were fighting?" That, Y/n was curious of.
Why were the girls fighting?

Mean while Kokomi sat in hospital, her bed unfortunately across from Mona's.
The two swimmers glared at each other.

Kokomi murmured, "why did you do that?"

"Damn, you're so sensitive. She's not your girlfriend... and I swear I didn't use steroids in the swimming carnival."
Mona paused, "but... you didn't have to smack me with a pocket knife."

Kokomi frowned. "You don't know anything about me. You have no clue-"

"I do."

(In a few chapters will be a little sports festival like what they mentioned before. But since the story will move normally, you *the readers* can choose your team. (It won't change the direction of the story)
It can be out of anyone Y/n has spoken to, plus Eula- who will be introduced again anyway.
Just comment your choice and I'll hopefully have enough.
Thank you!)
