Chapter 55- The Three Bishops

Kokomi sat propped against a wall sipping green tea.
Her knuckles were white on the mug handles, clutching it until the skin of her palms was slit by her manicured pink fingernails and began oozing blood.
Albedo leant forwards to gently take the mug from the weak girl to her obvious sound of disproval.
The girl reached out weakly to snatch it from him, a nice source of warmth.

Albedo rubbed the new wounds with a wet cloth - much to Kokomi's pain - and gave the mug back. "You'll be okay."

Kokomi offered him some, but he declined. "Abedoooo? Wha's gonna 'appen?"
Her words were still slurred by the heavy sedatives.

He couldn't really muster a proper answer. "Who the hell knows?"

She pouted, "wann' go home."

He blinked, "Of course you do. But, perhaps your stay at the hospital will be extended?"

"Shoot... I wann' see Y/nnn~"

Albedo tapped her on the forehead, "you're still woozy from the drugs, don't worry your little head." He cringed at his own words.
Then, attempting at a conversation, Albedo rose an eyebrow, "how exactly did you get here again?"

She shrugged, "I... jus' woke up in a cellar."

"Was there anybody with you?"

She shook her head and then pressed her hands to her forehead - she must have jiggled her brains too much. "Was alone... In th' dark."

Her speech was improving quickly.

He tapped his lip, drifting off into his own thoughts. Pondering, he was.
The coral-haired girl ignored his seeming confusion and took a long slurp of the tea... Loudly.

Then he spoke up, "Kokomi, I have a proposal."

Y/n dragged out the words, "so... You 'found' Kokomi and took the blackmailer's place to... talk?"

"That is correct." He sat there staring at her.

She blinked e/c eyes. "I really don't believe you."

He huffed. "What do I have to do to make you believe me?" The boy tilted his head, questioning.

"Show me Kokomi."

So, Y/n paid for her drink and followed Albedo down the alleyway, passing by Hu Tao and Zhongli, who were sitting at an undercover table and chairs to another restaurant... Playing a new trendy card game - Genius Invokation TCG. Y/n had yet to try it out herself.
She also noticed that Hu Tao had graffitied all over the cards... One card in such, was a blue haired deer-woman... With Ganyu's face. Must be the brunette's form of twisted amusement for herself.

The pairs' eyes flicked upwards at Y/n, who widened her own slightly in warning. 'Do. Not. Get. Up.'

Hu Tao nodded as Y/n passed with Albedo. Well... If Y/n went missing, the number one suspect would be him, after all.

Y/n clasped her hands behind her back and waddled along behind Albedo, who then gently took her s/c hand in his pale one and led her around a corner and inside a door. The door was a connection between multiple alleyways, so on the other side, Y/n saw a familiar face she knew so much.

"Kokomi!" She took a step towards her senior.

But Albedo blocked her and shut the door on the other side. They stood in the dark cramped space under an apartment building between alleyways.

He leant closer and whispered softly, "I don't trust her."

Y/n's eyebrows rose, "now... why would you think that?"
