"What's that?" Y/n stared at the cardboard box that Hu Tao was shaking at her.

Hu Tao leaned in close, "you're free this weekend, right?"

"Y-yeah."

Hu Tao giggled, "why do you look so put out, Y/n?... I'm just asking you to help with a fundraiser for the Wangsheng Funeral Parlour!... I need some more money to pay for the repairs to the building..."

"Hmm? Last time I saw, it was fine."

"It's crumbling. That stupid building is ancient, but my grandfather is sentimental, so we stay..." she paused, then, "do you want to help? I'm trying to find people."

"Oh, sure." Y/n shrugged, "it's not like I have anything better to do."

Hu Tao showed Y/n the contents of the box, posters and advertisements and... dust?

"What's your plan?" Y/n looked at the brunette.

"That's the funny thing... I DON'T HAVE ONE!" Hu Tao giggled again.

Y/n pressed her lips together, "we have to get our act together from now."

"Agreed... but I don't have any ideas. Maybe I'll ask the workaholic!"

Y/n grinned as Hu Tao waved at her and went off to find, presumably Ganyu. Scampering down the corridor.

She then turned back to face the h/c one, "Y/n? Can you recruit other people for me? Pretty please?"

Y/n waved her off, "yes. I'll try, but I may not be so successful."

"Eh- that's fine."

Then, "Hu Tao, why don't you go home? I'll go find Ganyu- you should leave and start brainstorming."

"But it's my fundraiser-" Hu Tao pouted at her friend.

"You're the brains of it. I'll just go get Ganyu from... the library, I'm guessing?"

"Ugh... fine... and.. Thank you Y/n. I appreciate the thought." Hu Tao skipped away after waving to her friend.

And, Y/n walked down the many hallways of the school to the little library.

When she stepped through the door, she was met with an airy voice, "ara~ who is this?"

She turned to face an older girl with honey-light brown hair tied in a wavy side ponytail. The girl stood there provocatively, with a hand on her round defined hip. She was pretty... kind of. But strange too.

"Ah! I'm Y/n. I came to this school a few months ago."

"And you've not once been to the library?"

"Uh, no."

"Well, the librarian isn't here. I'm her assistant, so if you want anything, just come look for me, okay?" She tapped her slender finger on her chin thoughtfully, smiling at Y/n.

"Uh, sure?" The Y/n walked off through the rows of books to find her friend.

And... there she was... slumped over on of the tables, sitting across from a blond girl.

"Ganyu." Y/n tapped her friend on the shoulder, but to no avail.

"Haha... she's deep asleep. If you want I'll pass on a message?" The blond girl laughed and twirled a strand of her high-ponytail around her finger.

"That's fine. My friend- Hu Tao- and I need her help."

The girls lips parted, "I can help. After all, I am on the student council, that's what I'm around for... My name is Jean, by the way,"

"Oh, thank you Jean... Uh, we need help with a fundraiser for the local funeral parlour. Like, we need more people to help and more ideas... and, I don't know," Y/n shrugged.

Jean was playing with the white collar of her shirt, thinking.
"I can help you get more recruits? And ideas... I might need to get back to you for that."

"Ah! Thank you!" Y/n clasped her hands together, "that would be really helpful."

Jean laughed- it was a pretty sound, "well, that's what I'm here for."
"Can I have your number, I'll contact you if I think of anything?"

Y/n smiled, "sure." And proceeded to say out the numbers to her contact.

Ganyu woke up, "Ganyu!" Y/n turned to the blue-haired girl, "I need your workaholic brain!"

"Haha... Hu Tao's fundraiser?"

"Yes!"

"Take me to her place," Y/n grabbed Ganyu's hand as the blue-haired girl said the words.

Y/n waved at Jean who smiled as they left.

"Lisa?" Jean called, "can you help me find a book on fundraising?"

The brunette nodded, "come on!"

They arrived at Hu Tao's house and glanced at it. The girls' jaws practically dropped.

"How did it get so run down, so quickly?"

"Maybe it's the rain?"

Then their thoughts connected, 'she really needs help.'
