They left the empty classroom and ran into Sucrose.

"A-albedo!... And- Y/n! Hello, I have been looking for you Albedo!" She gasped.

"What's wrong?... Sucrose?" Albedo looked at his lab partner.

"There-there's blood in the hall... but no body!"

At once Aether and Y/n jumped, "WHAT?!"

"That is... wait. Blood?" Albedo hurriedly looked back at the others.

Barbara groaned, "maybe it happened again... will we receive another note?"

They rushed off through the halls and towards the science labs and in front of them was... blood.
Simple. Smeared across the floor and running down the nearby lockers, pooling at the base and into the cracks of the tiles.
Papers were scattered across the floor, seeping up the crimson liquid.

Sucrose coughed, attempting to resist gagging.

Lumine ran towards them, "what's going on?"

Aether glanced at his sister and shrugged.
Barbara looked distressed.
Albedo and Sucrose were faintly alarmed.
Y/n... felt as though everyone else felt... but, with a sense of doubt lingering in her mind. But she couldn't put her finger in it.

Albedo huffed out a breath, "who do you think it was?"

Sucrose blanched, "is that what you are thinking of right now?"

He stuck his hands up, "please. I'm just curious."

A crowd soon gathered around the mess.

Hu Tao sidled up to Y/n and smirked, "another client."

This time Y/n blanched, "Hu Tao! It might be one of our friends!"

"We don't know that yet."

Barbara squeezed her eyes shut, "please don't. I don't need reminders."
She clutched Y/n's arm and buried her face in the h/c girl's shoulder releasing sob sounds.

Hu Tao patted her on the head, "you'll be okay. The family of the victim won't, though."

School was let out after homeroom and everyone went their seperate ways.

Y/n crashed at Hu Tao's place with Barbara, who wanted to go with them.
She was faint-hearted in the least- Barbara. So the blonde probably was scared and thought Hu Tao would protect her.
Maybe?

Earlier the police had arrived at the school and went through everyone's bags and the nearby lockers.
Nothing turned up.

Y/n had also began receiving countless messages from her classmates. Most of whom were incredibly curious and were checking on everyone.

Barbara was on the phone to Jean- her sister. And soon left to get picked up by the older girl,

Then, it was just Y/n and Hu Tao.

Hu Tao was considering watching the news, so she pulled out her phone and placed it on her bed with a book propping it up.
Y/n and Hu Tao glanced at the screen and already knew that the secret was out.
There were reporters in front of the school and they were talking rapidly, presumably about the blood in the hallway and the deaths that last month.

Hu Tao bit her lip, "and they still haven't found a body... do you think it was someone we know? Someone we know disappeared?"

"Well, maybe? But hopefully not." Y/n shrugged.

"Hmmm... maybe your parents are worried. You should call them."

Y/n retrieved her phone from her bag and rang her mother.

Hu Tao was just curious.
'The school had been so safe before, but now... students are suddenly being murdered for no apparent reason? And nobody is safe anymore?... It sounds like something out of a horror movie,' she thought.
She watched her friend talk to her parents, telling them where she was currently and what happened that morning.
Hu Tao rolled over on her bed, she ached to investigate.
But- decided to avoid doing that, to keep herself out of danger.

It was raining again, and Y/n walked home without an umbrella.

Droplets hung to her uniform and h/l h/c hair. Her shoes were wet from the downpour as she stepped through puddles. It began to get cold and she hurried home.

She opened the door to her house, ran inside and locked it.

Y/n's parents weren't home- they were still at work.

So- after changing into dry clothing, she sat on their little couch in the living room with one of her favourite books and curled up into the cushions.

She heard a pang and glanced up.
Was someone throwing rocks?

She ran to the window and looked out.
Feeling as though something was watching her, she closed the blinds and crouched behind the kitchen island- the table.

The walls of her house didn't offer much soundproofing, she could usually hear laughter from her neighbours or people walking down the street.
But that evening, it was eerily quiet.

Finally, she heard life from the other side of the walls to her home, one pair of footsteps.
Silent mostly.

A knock.

Someone was rapping on the door.
She waited until they stopped knocking. And dashed up the stairs.

She went to the hallway cupboard and grabbed her father's bat- which he told her to use when she was in danger- then ran to her room and dived under the bed, too scared to confront whoever it was.

She rested her chin on her crossed arms, relaxed for a moment. Then jumped when the person knocked on the door again.
It wasn't loud frenzied knocking as though they wanted to break down the door like the first knocks. But they were polite ones.

A voice, "Miss L/n? Are you okay? I'm your neighbour. Your parents asked me to check on you."
It was a woman's voice.

Y/n crept down the stairs still clutching the bat then quickly wrote on a piece of paper and slipped it under the door, confirming she was alright. She didn't want to face whoever it was.

The footsteps left and the house was silent again.

Was Y/n imagining things? Or had someone been watching her this whole time...

She felt shivers climb up her spine- maybe in warning?
But she took it, and ran back up the stairs and hid under her bed.
She turned off the lights to the house before doing that.

Her mother told her that it would be hard to find someone hiding low in the shadows when the lights were off.
Y/n held the advice in her head.

Something hit her bedroom window, as if whoever threw it was trying to get her attention.
She just curled up in fear, shaking and waited for the sound of her parents' car.

They came home late and Y/n waited for the sound of their voices before practically diving down the stair towards them.

In her mind there was a doubt...
'Am I being stalked?'
'Will I end up like Fischl, Bennett and the poor victim from today?'

But for now, she kept her cool and did everything she normally did on weeknights then went to sleep.

Someone was sitting by her house, no one noticed.

(Ah... I'm very bad at writing suspense and implied stalking. But... yeah, someone is stalking her. And it wasn't the neighbour who checked on her. And when I mean that- it was the neighbour, but the neighbour was not the stalker. The stalker is one of the Yandere characters.)

(I had no idea how to end this chapter so I ended it like this.)
