(I did a randomised wheel spin with the character names on it and... Sucrose, Zhongli, Ayaka, Venti... and from comments -which I found interesting- Xiao, who may not be definitely there.)
*Woohoo. I get to entertain myself by creating teams!*

It was two in the morning and Ganyu was wide awake.
The other girls she shared the room with were fast asleep. Ganyu wasn't.

She could hear Kokomi's gentle breathing from the bed next to hers and someone else's from the other side.
One sound that distracted Ganyu from the sound of snoring and breathing and her own thoughts was a pair of quiet footsteps in the hallway.

Flicking the draws open from the side of her bed, she reached down for a heavy blunt object.
There was a torch... which she hadn't noticed before. So she grabbed it and clutched it close to her chest.

Since her lower body was close to paralysed, she sat there on the bed with her covers over her creating a weak shield against the cool nighttime breeze.

The footsteps came closer, alongside a loud rustling sound.

The curtain separating her from the other girls was slid open-

She squeaked. "Ahhhhhh!... What the heck?"

The next day, Y/n didn't feel too bad- though she expected to be wrecked as she arrived home quite late. But... she was energised.

She walked to class and turned up on time, yet most of her peers were already seated for class.

At the front of the classroom, standing there was a woman in a dark trench coat and sweater. Her hair was tied up professionally into a high ponytail, no brunette strands falling around her face.
She meant business.

The teacher spoke up once Y/n was seated, "this. This is Bantan Sango, a detective. She has a few questions to ask you all."

At that, a few students froze momentarily.

Detective Sango began to read off names one by one, leading a student away to question them.

Y/n felt her palms getting sticky with sweat then Hu Tao patted her on the arm. "You aren't guilty, Y/n. Don't be nervous."

"Y/n L/n." Sango was peering around the door then her face formed into a strained smile, trying to comfort the confused h/c haired girl.

Y/n followed Sango to another room on the other side of the hall; an empty classroom.

"Y/n. Did you know the victims?" Of course it was the most appropriate question to ask, and a great way to determine suspects.

Keqing, being a true crime enthusiast knew exactly how Detective Sango was going to play this. She was going to underline the suspects and keep them speaking until the stories get muddled or they confess. Threats will occur and the detective will also make up numerous lies in order to make the suspect talk.
So, Keqing in question, well... she went for the most passive approach possible and got through without any suspicion being placed on her.
Now... it was time to await the murderers' trials.

Meanwhile, Y/n was talking about her relationships with Bennett, Fischl and Barbara. The detective was nodding and jotting main points down on a pad.

The detective mumbled to herself for a few moments before asking, "you made plans with Barbara Pegg the day she was murdered, did you not?"

"Yes."

"She went to the church after school, is what her older sister said. Which meant she was murdered that evening..." and she continued to mumble to herself, "dead for twenty-four hours before being found-" and, other theories.

She took a sip from the coffee mug that had been placed in front of her. She tore off a page of her notebook before continuing to question Y/n- it seemed she wanted to separate each student's words.

After her questioning, Y/n trudged back to her classroom while Detective Sango finished up with the remaining students.

She opened the door to enter again and sat down, noticing that many of her classmates looked shaken- some even scared.

Lumine and Aether kept sharing these strange looks between each other.

Others like Kazuha and Childe had their hands clamped together.

Yun Jin had no idea what was going on, so she was peachy.

Hu Tao was glaring around the room at everyone's faces, "they're all suspicious. I can't wait until the perp is found and we can all get back to our normal everyday lives."

But... in reality -what Y/n realised- it wouldn't be the same... ever.

(The detective is an NPC from the game, from Bantan Sango's Detective Agency. This detective- Sango will be a lasting problem and her partner will be Ryuuji- another NPC from the game.)
