Warnings: killing, abuse,

I'm kicking and screaming, watching Bucky try to get to me. The soldiers are telling him that I'll be okay, that he can see me once he finishes his mission. He stills pushes them off of him, till I hear the loud familiar voice of the leader "Soldat!"

He drops everything and faces the wall with his hands up, the people pulling me stop and face them, awaiting a new command.

"You keep disobeying for this girl, if it happens again, we might have to kill her"

"No sir, I'll obey when I know she won't be harmed while I'm gone"

"You don't get to make demands here"

He turned to me, raising his hand to my face, harshly gripping my cheek. He pulls my face close to him, his mouth right next to my ear "You're going to go quietly or you can suffer the consequences"

I look up at him, nodding slowly. The pain in my back, a reminder of my value here.

He heads back to Bucky, "She's going to be fine. Now, turn to me," he pulls a mask from his bag and tightly straps it to his face. He turns and looks at me for just a minute before the leader pulled him away.

The boys started walking me to the room, the path seeming familiar. Once I realize I start resisting, knowing the pain that will ensue. They drag me in strapping me to a table, surrounded by scientist.

They took my jacket from me, "No please, don't take it"

The table lifted up slowly, glass walls closing it around it. I panicked screaming "No, no, no, no, please!"

It got so cold, so fast and I couldn't help but fall asleep in the chamber, my head lulling to the side.

*A few months later*

He threw me off the bed, hard, onto the concrete floor. I put my hands up to protect myself, instinct kicking in to protect my head, a haze over my vision, cold affecting all my senses.

"What the hell?"

He took the cot, laying down where I just was. It's so cold. I shiver, laying down on the floor, accepting sleep.

The next day I didn't have any food, my jacket is still gone and I can't get a real sense of where I am or how long it's been since I went to sleep.

I went about my day with one of the strongest headaches, holding my head in my hands. I tried to get up, move around but I simply couldn't bring myself to.

Suddenly the lights dimmed, signalling it had gotten dark. I stay on the floor, attempting to stay conscious, knowing that something about Bucky is off.

The door suddenly opens and the soldat walks in. His eyes still dark, the inhuman look returned to him. The bruising on his face so much more evident.

He went to the cot, laying down, completely ignoring me. I hesitantly moved forward, "Did you get any food for me?"

He stayed silent, the mask covering his mouth and nose. I slowly inched forward, staying low to the ground.

"Do you know if they have my jacket? It's really cold"

He huffs, staying still but closing his eyes.

"What day is it?"

He stands up picking me up by my throat, shoving me against the wall. I gasp and choke, scratching at his strong arms, reaching to his chest to stop him. My eyes start to water and I think about just giving in, maybe I'll see my family again, my brother, my Dad. My eyes close, my body goes limp.

Finally he drops me, crashing to the ground with such force, hurting my knee. Coughing and gasping for air, clutching my chest. Sobbing uncontrollably, shaking and trying to regain my air that had been snatched from my lungs. After finally catching my breath, I held my knee, trying to get the pain to settle.

He looked scared, looking down at his hands. I begged "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'll be quiet"

We have gone about our days, avoiding even being awake at the same time. I never hear him come in. He never wakes me up. My food is still next to me every morning, and I try to stay moving, stay protected.

I have been going to several parties, being given my clothes back each time. Becoming numb to being a play thing for HYDRA's patrons.

I've avoided seeing Bucky, going to the showers when he is in the room, sleeping during his trainings, or pretending to sleep while he's in the room.

About a week later I woke up to a familiar green next to me. My Dad's jacket was on the cot, along with my food for that day.

I decided I'd had enough of trying to avoid him, we both know he had to go through quite a bit to get this back for me.

I went about my day, showering and putting my hair up, looking in the mirror to see the bruises left on my arm and neck.

Finally the lights dimmed and I waited for him to come, I waited for Bucky to show up. The door opened and a quiet Bucky entered.

"Thank you, for the jacket I mean"

"I know that it meant a lot to you"

"Was my Dad's"

He looked down, sitting down on the cot and taking off his outer gear. He stopped and started a few sentences before settling on "I didn't remember you, I couldn't remember anything, and I know that doesn't excuse what I did-"

"Bucky?"

"Yea?"

"Don't ever again... now if we are going to live here, if I'm going to survive here I need to know everything"

"What do you mean?"

"I mean I recognize that it wasn't your fault, and I've decided not to lay down like a dog anymore for HYDRA. I want you to teach me the ins and outs of this place so I can survive, thrive, in here"

I took a deep breath, holding out my hand "Deal?"

He smirked, god damn, and shook my hand "Deal"
