A/N: Hey guys, I know I kinda left you guys on a cliffhanger the last chapter..sorry! 

I hope you are all having a good week and CHEERS to those of you who are going to be on spring break soon!!! 

Anyways, curious to know your opinions about Zack and Hermione vs Hermione and Draco. Tell me who you like better together, I love all the comments!

Hermione's heart stopped. WIthout thinking, she revealed off the Invisibility Cloak; there was no use to it now. Draco stared at her for a solid minute after Hermione fully revealed herself which gave her time to think about how Draco could know it was her. 

"Draco..." Hermione started but Draco held up an arm to stop her. Hermione's voice was soft and sympathetic, something Draco didn't need right now. He didn't want anyone's pity, especially hers. 

"Don't." Draco stated, his eyes slightly puffy and Hermione got up and sat down with him and before she could think, she pulled him into a light hug. 

A couple seconds later, Hermione realized what she was doing and pulled away awkwardly. "Er, sorry. I just felt like you needed a hug."

Draco just looked in Hermione's eyes and said, "So I assume you heard everything then?"

Hermione nodded, "Well, yes. I didn't mean to exactly eavesdrop, well I did, but, I was only doing it because you and Zack have both been acting rather suspicious lately and you know how I hate not knowing things. So, predictably, I took matters into my own hands. I never meant for you to find out this way, Draco, actually I was planning on finding you tomorrow and-"

"Hermione," Draco cut her off with a hint of amusement in his voice as Hermione took a deep breath, "I had a feeling you would do something like this. In fact, I'm actually glad you did. Now, I don't have to explain how screwed up my family is."

"Draco, you know that's not true," Hermione tried in a different tone of voice. What was she supposed to say? She couldn't exactly agree with him that his family was mental for forcing their only son to work for the darkest wizard of all. 

"Don't even try to deny it Hermione, that would be a waste of time," Draco said exasperated. 

"Hey," Hermione scooted closer to Draco and put her hand on his shoulder which made him look up at her, "It will be okay."

"How can you say that?" Draco asked and Hermione truly felt sorry for him and wanted to pull him into an endless hug but knew he wouldn't appreciate that. 

"Because," Hermione said, "You won't be alone through this. I'll be with you."

Draco let out a short laugh filled with no humor whatsoever. "Yeah since you're Hermione Granger, best friends with Harry Potter, the Dark Lord's main target, yeah that will work out."

Hermione gave him a look of disbelief before saying, "It will!"

"Granger, no it won't. And besides, even if it could, I wouldn't want you to waste your time on someone like me. I'll probably end up dead in a few years anyway, just go and have fun with Zack or something."

Hermione stared at Draco for a really long time, considering him and what his intentions were from those words. Surely Draco didn't really want Hermione to leave him now, but she felt as if there were some truth to those words. Like he was still trying to believe that he was going to be working with a deadly group of people and could be killed at any given moment. 

"No." Hermione said firmly and Draco fliched a little when she did so.

"What?" Draco asked with a blank expression. 

"I said no, I won't leave you alone, Draco," Hermione said simply as if she were talking about a Quiddtich match.

Draco looked grateful and Hermione knew he was. She also knew he wasn't the type to state his gratitude out loud. 

"But you heard what they want me to do. They want me to find a passage in Hogwarts for him. I don't know how to do that and I certainly don't want you to get yourself involved with this."

"I know," Hermione said, "which is why we have to figure out to get Zack to do it instead of you. Why should you have to everything? After all, he is in the same year as you and just as capable as doing this as you."

"Did you seriously just ask that Granger?" Draco showed a hint of something on his face that Hermione couldn't quite make out. 

"Ask what?" Hermione looked confused.

"How to get Zack to do the task! He'll do anything for you!" Draco raised his voice and then remembered about his family and quieted down again. 

"What! Honestly Draco where do you get these absurd ideas?" Hermione's arms were now crossed over her chest and her hair, Draco sworm, got bigger. 

"You're the only who doesn't see it! He likes you, Hermione! He likes you way more than a friend!" 

Hermione was silent for a few moments, thinking, before asking, "How do you know this?"

"It's obvious. I can tell by the way he looks at you- His mood changes when he's around you, he happier. He always waits for you and sticks by your side, he watches when you-"

"Okay, that's what friends do, Draco. They like being around each other!" Hermione huffed. 

Draco just said, monotonously, "Well now since we both know you how he feels about you know, I'm assuming you don't want to use him as part of your plan."

Hermione made a noise with her throat and went face down onto the bed as Draco watched her think, wondering what she was going to say next. 

At last, "I'm still going to help you Draco, of course. I never thought twice about that. But now, I'm wondering if my plan could work-trying to get Zack to do the job-without me feeling too guilty."

Draco remained silent. He knew that if any girl wanted him to do a seriously dangerous job, he'd flat out refuse. But if that girl was Hermione Granger...

"It won't be easy, but we'll have to do it." Hermione concluded and forced herself up next to Draco again.

She made her way towards the corner of the room to Floo out but Draco caught her wrist and Hermione met his grey eyes looking far into hers. 

"Granger...um.., thanks for being her with me. It meant a lot.." 

"Of course," Hermione hugged him suddenly and Draco, caught by surprise, awkwardly wrapped his arms around her. 

"See you at school." Hermione gave him a small smile and grabbed a pile of the powder. 

"See you Granger, and don't go into any other guy's house with that cloak of yours."
