What do you think of Zack so far..?

"Hermione," a familar voice called and instantly Hermione froze and turned around to see Professor McGonagall motioning her to come over. 

She gave Harry and Ron a wave, and they knew that Hermione had to go. They went off and Hermione wondered what the professor wanted to talk to her about. 

"Hello, professor," Hermione said and started to fidget. She hoped she wasn't in any trouble. But everytime a professor looked at her longer than usual, Hermione couldn't help but feel that they knew how she and Draco had a duel and tore apart almost everything. 

"Relax, Miss Granger, you're in no sort of trouble," Professor McGonagall clarified right away which made Hermione relieved.

"In fact, I have an assignment for you," she said and Hermione started to get nervous again. Last time she asked her to do something, it was to tutor Malfoy.

Hermione crossed her fingers inside her robes and asked, "What is it?"

"I know that we were all expecting Zack to be in Slytherin, because, well..." The professor trailed off but Hermione knew perfectly well what she was referring to. He was a Malfoy, she was pretty sure everyone expected him to be in Slytherin. 

Hermione nodded to show that Professor McGonagall no longer needed to explain.

"I would like you to show him around, maybe introduce you to a couple of your friends, just to get him adjusted," Professor McGonagall stated.

"Oh, of course professor!" Hermione was excited that she had chose her to do this, and not anyone else. 

"Thank you, I knew I could count on you, Miss Granger! Now get to it!" 

Hermione left and began her search for Zack, which wasn't that hard to find. After two minutes of searching and running to catch up with the other Gryffindors, Hermione could see his light brown hair and made a mental note to ask him, if they ever got to be friends, where the color of his hair came from.

"Zack!" No response. 

"Zack!" Finally, he turned around and looked at Hermone who was making her way over to him. 

"Oh, hello Hermione!" Zack greeted. Hermione and Zack had just introduced themselves a couple of minutes ago after the Sorting. 

"Hello! Well, it looks like I'm your tour-guide for the day, so we get to skip the class." Hermione stated and Zack broke out into a smile. 

"Dang! I really wanted to go to History of Magic!" He stated sarcastically and Hermione chuckled lightly. 

"Well, actually it isn't that bad of the class, sure the ghost's voice may be rather dull.." Hermione stopped talking once she saw the look Zack was giving her and decided it was best to shut up. 

"This way," Hermione gestured towards the Gryffindor Common Room and Zack followed her. Some students were giving them envious glared because they got to skip class.

"So, the password is 'Chocolate Frog' and it changes every so often, but you will hear the Head Prefect tell you it," Hermione began to explain the basics and found that Zack was staring at her with intent which made Hermione curious as to why he was doing that.
